What you can expect to see if you follow me: 💻 Code & Tech 🧗‍♂️ Rock Climbing 😸 Cat Pics ⚖️ Political & Social Justice 🧘 Philosophical Contemplation 🤯 AuDHD 🔎 Things I've learned/observed that I feel are worth sharing. Thanks for following along (and sorry in advance).

I've been on dating apps a few times over the last year or so and I just realized that the red pill incel community is crying that they can't get dates when 9 out of 10 women on my feed are "Conservative Christians". Apparently they don't want to date each other either. 🤔

There is SO much money behind Andy Biggs for AZ governor. I've never seen so much advertising for the az governor race before. Everywhere I look there's a campaign sign or billboard with a smiling Biggs and one nearby with an evil looking Katie Hobbs with captions like, "Supports high CA gas prices"

Andy Biggs is a racist billionaire worshipping pedo protector (long history, not just Trump/Epstein). The things they say about him and Hobbs in these are outright fabrication and/or absurd. I'm sick of seeing it all, and also sick to know it's working on some people.

The reason the anti-abortion conservatives needed (and I mean NEEDED) to get rid of the "risk to life and health" exception to anti-abortion laws was that EVERY PREGNANCY risks life and health. Every. One.

Anyone have a pharmacy that doesn't suck? I've been using CVS for years but I have to manually call in my ADHD meds once a month (govt regs) and CVS has made it very hard to actually talk to a pharmacist on the phone. There's been a lot of other things bothering me but this is the final straw.

The fact that ADHD people have find the executive function to go to the pharmacy at least once a month for the meds that help them with find executive function is beyond absurd. At least give us the 3 month supply. 🤦🏼

The Bureau of Land Management is weighing at least 12 data center proposals covering 17,600 acres of public land across six states—land the public owns. The plans aren’t posted for public comment, and some local officials say they didn’t even know the deliberations were happening.

How can Disney/Marvel fuck up Ironheart so bad and then produce a show like Wonder Man? I'm only 6 episodes in, so forgive me if it goes spectacularly downhill, but so far? Wow.

The odds that we'll see 2 degrees C of warming NEXT YEAR are getting uncomfortably high. The combination of accelerating global warming and Super El Nino is set to shatter temperature records. Should be dominating headlines. Of course it won't. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Been reading Careless People By Sarah Wynn-Williams; while it's exactly what I guessed, it is infuriating to listen to someone continue to justify staying in positions like hers meanwhile enabling and empowering those above her. Thanks Sarah for having the bravery for writing this, also fuck you.

ICE is quietly arresting more people than ever. After months of releasing no detention data at all, the new numbers show a record 1,474 arrests a day in early July, the highest daily pace of the entire Trump administration. 🧵 austinkocher.substack.com/p/ice-quietl...

Kicking myself for not saying, "they didn't hate machines, they hated THE machine", because I'm easily amused.

I think the comparison to Luddites is appropriate, but not the way George means. Luddites were painted as dumb, anti-tech, and anti-progress, but in reality they were a worker's rights movement. They didn't hate machines, they hated the systems that consolidated wealth.

Genocide. What he's talking about is genocide. Saying the quiet part out loud because they have confidence that no one will stop them and there won't be repercussions. We need to prove them wrong on that.

People keep talking about stacking the court with liberal justices as if that solves the problem. So long as there can exist such a thing as a liberal or conservative justice, we don't have justice, and we'll just end up with the same problem later on.

It should be a no-brainer:  No stock trading for members of Congress, the vice president, or the president. No billionaires buying elections through super PACs. The government should work for the American people—not wealthy donors and corporate interests.

A group of losers in my city decided to set up on a corner today and put up signs saying June is for Jesus not pride. According to the Bible, Jesus was constantly preaching about love and never once mentioned homosexuality.
