And we are not just talking about an occasional gaff or mis-spoken sentence. We are in full-on bonkers territory, especially considering putting his name on everything, berating female reporters, and fighting to redesign a golf course -A GOLF COURSE - in the middle of a war and financial crisis.

I know I've been on this bullshit before and I know this is an audience that largely agrees but I just have to yell at this particular cloud today: it is an absolute failure on the part of major news organizations that we have so little reporting on the president's physical and cognitive health.

This begs several very important questions:   Is this data being delayed because it contradicts the party line? Or because the admin gutted federal agency staff? Why is the Treasury Dept even involved here?   The American people deserve transparency from their own government.

The corruption is off the charts, and unlike anything we have seen from that office before. All in Congress who support it or even turn a blind eye should be held accountable.

Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security. Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations. Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people. —Harry Truman, 1952

In my 65 years, I’ve seen some questionable presidents and some who lacked ethics, but until 2016 I never imagined we could elect someone so corrupt, petulant, narcissistic, and despicable.

If you *have* to promote this pathetic delusion, get someone else to do it. Wilson, a racist who screened "Birth of a Nation" at the White House, is ranked high. He, like Trump, negotiated a treaty at Versailles that hurt the world. Donald is clearly jealous of the love Reagan gets from the GOP.

Agreed: FOCUS ON MIDTERMS! Even Ocasio-Cortez and Buttigieg agree that the midterms are the goal this year. Without success there, we might not even have a presidential election in 2028.

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

This regime cannot be trusted. Congress must pass an amendment to immediately freeze and permanently block the $1.8 billion slush fund for Trump's political allies. It should also block Trump's "settlement" granting him immunity from IRS audits. Call your reps: (202) 224-3121

The war is really not the cause of rising gas prices; it is opportunistic capitalism. Profiteering, anyone??

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

Big Oil has raked in over $23B in windfall profits by jacking up gas prices during Trump's Iran War. Now ExxonMobil, Shell, and Chevron are doubling down on spending billions on stock buybacks — while you pay the price at the pump. Call it what it is: corporate greed.
