They talk about allegations and appeals and due process, yet it's perfectly clear that, even if City lose in the High Court they will never accept it. It's like a millenarian cult waking up the day after the predicted rapture and confecting reason why the world didn't end.

It will never be possible to unpick and remedy the full impact of Man City's deliberate, sustained cheating. But one thing we must be clear on: £900m was the absolute *minimum*, the provable amount in the paperwork in the limited period of the investigation.

This is why they must have the book thrown at them. It's cheating (and benefitting from doing so) on a monumental scale. The integrity of the English game depends on it.

This is just the maddest argument. These people would trap us in poverty to keep a decade old commitment, which no one ever actually made, to an electorate which no longer exists.

I don't think they want to sack Carrick until after we get beaten at St James Park by Newcastle on Dec 2nd. Then the new manager will have Coventry H, Leipzig H, Palace A, a no risk trip to Arsenal, Forest H and Sunderland H in their first 6 games.

The lessons from Brazil and Serbia? Don't concede one inch of ground to the far right. Don't appease. Don't triangulate. Don't grovel. Don't say they have "legitimate concerns". Mobilise your base, and fight them with all the democratic means at your disposal.

Why are the people who accuse those talking about reversing Brexit of "living in the past" never asked about their own plans to rip up an international agreement that was first signed by the UK some 75 years ago?

I forgot Kieran McKenna was out of work. 3 promotions in 4 years for Ipswich. Still has a near 50% career win rate as a manager - despite one of those seasons being in PL and winning just 4 games. Knows MUFC. I wonder if he's in the mix...

Been messaging someone who has worked with with Eddie Howe in the past. They raised points about Howe's focus/demands regarding off ball work and his squad culture rules/priorities...and suggested these may not align with United's squad. So there's a potential scenario where Howe turns United down.

Finger on the pulse as always. These fascist incels can’t even win when they’re rigging the elections.

Guardian reports Police Scotland will get round to watching the documentary at some point ... No rush lads.

Andrew Fisher@fisherandrew79.bsky.social

What's remarkable about this article is that there's no mention of the police. No mention of a charge, an investigation, an arrest, even an interview www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

After the first round elections, Congressman André Janones created a WhatsApp channel titled “Lula’s Army.” It ballooned to 10 million people following his commands on how to behave online to counteract Meta’s far-right-favouring algorithms. The right knows how to use socials. We must learn, too.

Bolsonaro's loss is not just a loss for Bolsonaro. It's a loss for Trump. For Musk. For Milei. For Netanyahu. For Farage. For Meta and Zuckerberg. For the meat barons, the fossil fuel corporations, and the rest of the neocolonial looters. And it is a massive win for humanity and the living planet.

Man United with one of the worst ownership combos: American capitalists piling debt onto the club and a right-wing British billionaire out of his depth.

Rob Davies@byrobdavies.bsky.social

As an amused observer of Manchester United, I can't wait for Jim Ratcliffe's next sage piece of advice on how Britain should be run.

Yoro's was an unfortunate slip. Heaven gave a free kick away 40 yards from goal. Maguire and Martinez failed to identify a threats, we're slow to react and werw then slow...the kids will be dropped though.

Ighalo and Weghorst weren't "United standard" but were appreciated because they did a job nobody else in that squad could do at the time. Going into the season with only an injured Sesko was an absolute disgrace.

Neville banging on about 2 defenders being needed in the summer and failing to acknowledge that all of this is being caused by no outlet/presence up front. If you can't attack you end up defending.
