Can't watch YouTube because of all the new slop that's ripping off human creators' work Can't buy new music without wondering if they used AI to produce it Can't even trust some friends' advice anymore because they've become meat proxies who just copy/paste the Google AI or Chat GPT answer

Can't try a new FOSS app without checking that Claude isn't a top contributor (which is getting more and more common) Can't escape AI at work because the enterprise products we use have new AI features and AI-generated code

Can't call local businesses anymore because they all have AI phone trees or disclaim that the call will be recorded and used to train their customer service AI Can't enjoy modern art without checking to see if AI made it instead of the human claiming its their own work

Can't use Windows because of all the telemetry I'm distro hopping because Canonical's push to start including AI (even if they start with a good accessibility feature) Can't build a new computer because everything is too expensive due to AI-induced shortages Can't buy a game without an AI check

all this AI garbage is killing me... Every time I see a "cool new open source app" I look at the GitHub and see Claude as the #1 or #2 contributor and lose all interest. Yay the LLM slopped out some spaghetti code... Great

It is absolutely ridiculous how much time (and therefore money) the NHS and govt are spending on clamping down on trans people’s rights, instead of providing healthcare. If a man wants to assault someone he does not need to pretend to be a trans woman. He’ll just ignore the fucking sign & walk in.

so I got a Steam Machine... It's very nice and runs all the games my 10-year-old PC struggled with and was cheaper than the upgrade I had planned... Now I just gotta get it set up to replace my Apple TV so I can watch stutter-free AV-lag-free 2x speed 4k YouTube :)

I desperately wish youtube[dot]com/tv still worked because my 'console' doesn't have an official YouTube app and I don't want to install Kodi just to have it be a YouTube front-end via the unofficial YouTube plugin

(and yes, I can just use regular schmegular youtube[dot]com via Firefox to access YouTube and even wrap it up to act like a Non-Steam app in the gaming mode launcher but like, a mouse and keyboard interface like that doesn't translate well to a 4k TV across the room...)
