The framing "Kamala is against impeachment" gives her a bit too much credit, because that in and of itself is a diagrammable sentence. We're not doing impeachment, but we will do accountability, investigations, and also be ruthless, ok, Kams have a chablis.

If Kamala is right the votes aren't going to be there for impeachment (of anyone) then she doesn't need to say anything about it. The issue so to speak resolves itself.

Yeah. I think you can get the votes for RFK and Hegseth, and if you start looking under rocks who knows what you can find.

I think you pull the “evil counselors” approach of 17th century England and relentlessly go after cabinet members with trial after trial.

Hearing on Israeli radio that, according to exit polls, Likud may have won more seats than expected (27) but anti-Netanyahu coalition a bit larger than pro-Netanyahu bloc. Both blocs in the 50s with Arab parties at 18. As expected, no clear path to a majority of 61 for either bloc.

Vance: "We have to understand what happens when our nation gives in to these kinds of people, to young men with zero attachment to its land or to its history...The desire to destroy rather than the desire to build, that exact same cancer is what has corrupted Abdul El-Sayed writ large."

Vance was a military journalist deployed in Iraq, he's saying YOU can't pronounce them.

JD Vance says of the Middle East that it's "a region of the world made up of countries whose name I couldn't even pronounce"

The liability case here is as strong as these things are, but the woman's story shows a lot of problems with the immigration system, the tech world generally, just what would push someone to be asking a chatbot about tapering epilepsy meds in the first place.

I think she's too glib about the differences between Eisenkot and Netanyahu, the only two people who could plausibly win, but both were members of the war cabinet and both support the occupation. Eisenkot is not pledging the policies she would support man.

But I thought the point of the embargo and sanctions was to pressure Israelis to elect leaders who would adopt different policies? It sounds like Congresswoman Tlaib doesn't think Israel should exist at all.

at the very least, any document supporting or opposing a claim for relief on a cause for action or argument on the merits of the claim make available, or all declarations of named parties not under seal.

DOJ: What we filed is superseding complaint. The way we read the rules -- I admit it's novel -- I had not done this before. Our reading is that to issue a superseding complaint, that does not require probable cause. If we were seeking an arrest warrant, it would.

the way it functions on here is the debate kids are all patting themselves on the back for knowing the etymology of the word algebra.

There's so much else wrong with this stupid lawsuit but on this specific point: despite being "busy" with "lives" and "jobs," Alaskans were able to spell M-U-R-K-O-W-S-K-I when they reelected her to the Senate as a write-in candidate in 2010 after she lost the GOP primary.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: Why shouldn't Alaskans find it insulting that the administration is suggesting they can't read the word 'incumbent' on their ballot and know to vote for Sen. Sullivan? JD VANCE: People are busy. People have lives. People have jobs.

For whatever it's worth, my Czech Catholic grandmother lived in that area and ate all that stuff. My dad grew up in a building that was mostly Jewish and went to a Parochial school that was mostly Italian, da big apple baby.

the ADL is more mad about Zohran calling a neighborhood Eastern European than Elon giving a Nazi salute Zohran derangement syndrome is real

Brighton Beach is also increasingly Central Asian, but syrniki is neither a Central Asian nor specifically Jewish food. I remember my grandmother making placky, don't remember syrniki.

Paragraph 44 needs a verb, but how would this investigation work? Anyone who voted for the "wrong" Sullivan would by definition testify they they voted for the correct one, unless they somehow photocopied their ballot. I don't think anyone ever proved who specifically voted for Pat Buchanan in 2000

Eric Columbus@ericcolumbus.bsky.social

Here’s the relevant language in the DOJ lawsuit. It asks for the election not to be certified if Peltola’s margin of victory is smaller than the number of votes cast for the third-party Sullivan. (I expect this to be laughed out of court.) storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

the answer in the Butterfly Ballot case was "all of them" meant to vote for Gore, it's fuckin' West Palm. But it's also entirely plausible Alaskans would want to rank the random guy higher, they're ornery. You can't sustain the assumption a chunk of people wouldn't vote for him.

How we gonna run RE-form when we's the damned incumbent!??!?

Obama’s Cheesecake Factory decor joke is going to continue to get far more play in the media, days after it happened, than RFK Jr being openly racist. Draw your own conclusions about the press based on that.

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Reading the article (1) he does not appear to have even attempted to obtain legal status, (2) he appears to be targeting by various theocon freaks who objected that he thought legal segregation was unchristian.
