Joe looks at me—realizes that for a 50 year old Bostonian who grew up immersed in Boston basketball culture that for me calling him that I was acknowledging how much of an honor & title it was and I said it as a sign of respect but calmly looks me in my 6’4” face and says—“Just call me Joe”
I called Joe Mazulla “Coach” once… I’d met him SEVERAL times already but I was at last year’s Boston Music Awards which was in Big Night Live and he was coming out the side door… He sees me and there was a look of familiarity as I’d been around multiple times in the past week. I said “Hey Coach”

I'm going to try to do this cleanly. Today's right wing governments are networked to each other. Those networks are well-documented. You can read about them in books. Following the elections in one node of that network is good practice for understanding the U.S. node.
I just think Matt's wrong about this. We're at a point in our technological development where a ton of problems spill over national borders--if Flavio Bolsonaro burns down the Amazon, that will flood houses in Miami.

So happy for Brazil and the world!! Now for the U.S. !!!!!!!!!! 🤞
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who spared a thought for my country today, who amplified information about the coup d’état attempt, and worried about Brazil’s democratic future—the world’s democratic future. We won! Women won! The Amazon won! Young people won! Democracy won! Hope won!
