intimidating a child out of a lawsuit = life sentence

as a kid is learning to speak they should be taught all the things that they're entitled to sue adults for, like restricting their diet or telling them when they're allowed to use the bathroom or touching them without consent ever

a child that's old enough to be abused is a child that's old enough to sue their parents & make them pay for supported living in perpetuity

Here's Lula celebrating tonight with Erika Hilton, a transgender politician who led the drive to end the six-day work week in Brazil. Erika showed workers solidarity, they showed her solidarity back. Solidarity is how fascism loses.

btw the election day started with no electricity here lol And it stayed without electricity for at least an hour, I think they fixed it right when the election begun, barely in time (the ballots are eletronic so this is double relevant)

The full story here needs told globally In 2024, students began protests. In 2025, the movement evolved into sustained, civil disobedience - from road blockades to mass demos. In 2026, the protesters formed their own political party. Weeks later, they turfed an authoritarian from office. Resist.

For two years, student-led protests have raged against Aleksandar Vučić and his corrupt government in Serbia. Today, in parliamentary elections, he was toppled. One of the most sustained protest movements in recent European history has succeeded. Resistance works.

one thing I learned today is that not everyone in Brazil shirts are fascists, there were some people wearing Brazil shirts and flags in the Lula win celebration

The thing is that vampires with some degree of common sense don't generally attack random people on the street out at night, because that's deeply unsustainable. Victims of predatory vampirism tend to be ones close to the vampire, not strangers, and most lethal blood drainings are accidental.

"No Trespassing" laws were weaponized to prevent newly freed slaves in the south from using their foraging skills they retained. Prevent them from farming by not allowing them to own land. Prevent them from learning to read to keep them dependent.
