Trump is like a serial killer. His “type” is people of no financial value to him: us. He has no empathy. He’s constantly leaving clues about how he’s destroying lives. He’s constantly stating how clever he is. He’s injected himself into the investigation at the highest level. He has copycats.

This isn't true. We keep all of it in a bag. We won't take his calls because he won't stop asking for the bag.

The Onion is pretty rigorous about drug testing its employees, but it just throws away all the leftover piss and won't take my calls even though they claim to need the money

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Still looking. Tough market.

For family reasons, I need to transition to a remote career. Searching for a job which pays the bills and allows me to serve others genuinely and generously. Once, that was the fruit stand. But they’ve changed. The money’s good, but not worth the abuse. So… Genius for hire? 🫣

Are you a parent of a trans kid in #Houston ISD? I'd love to speak to you about your experiences in the district and recent comments from Gov. Abbott for a story, can be on or off the record and I can take steps to protect you and your child's identity.

Wouldn’t it be more efficient to transport them somewhere by train? We could even have them build the tracks to wherever we want to send them. And when they get there, we could have them build someplace to live for themselves. I can’t believe nobody’s thought of this before!

Yo DOGE idiots, the GlobeMaster C-17 used to transport 104 individuals deported to India cost $28K/hr to fly. At 35 hrs round trip for this military transport, it will cost US taxpayers $980K. Have you considered using Expedia? So much for “efficiency”. Dolts. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Sooo… the NYPD works for Amazon? Isn’t this a job for private security?

talia jane@taliajane.bsky.social

‪NYPD makes workers show physical Amazon ID cards in order to remain on property. One worker, who has her ID on her phone, is kicked off the property (along with press) and made to go home to get her physical badge.‬

The celebrity trajectory of Hawk Tuah going from random street interview to huge financial scandal in 6 months is some real American exceptionalism at work.

It’s worth noting that shutting down the government unequally impacts poor people. That’s why it’s such a disaster when it happens. So Trump & Elon stating they want the government shut down is a tacit admission that poor people mean nothing in their vision of society.

Boy. It sure does seem like killing someone with a gun is a really bad thing requiring the involvement of the federal government… unless the victim isn’t a rich white guy.

I don't give a shit why--fuck everyone who voted for this madness.

In his first big flex of power on Capitol Hill, Elon Musk shitposted a bunch of misinformation to kill a bipartisan spending bill that would have averted a government shutdown, threatened reps supporting it, and demanded Congress stop working until Trump is in office. Awesome stuff

Um. For the record… I’m not panicking. 🙋🏼‍♂️

So, it looks like my time at Apple is coming to a close after 8 years. Completely burnt out on the retail schedule and lack of family time. Anybody have a lead for an opportunity for an experienced Apple Genius?

I’ve cared for infants who stopped breathing w/ pertussis. School aged kids who died of flu or COVID. And many of my patients can’t be vaccinated because they’re on chemotherapy or are immune compromised. Vaccinations save lives of those who get them & those who cannot. It’s that simple.

Still trying to figure out what I’m going to use this platform for. Thinking maybe I can be more constructivel here than at X. Speaking of which, I am looking for a job. I’m resigning as an Apple Genius after 8 years. Any solid suggestions? Retail hrs made work/life balance impossible.

Great news!! … if you’re a banker, lawyer, investor, or corporate executive. What’s that? You’re not one of those things? Oooh… …too bad.

“Russia said”?? No. I think “Putin said”. We all need to recognize Putin and Trump are very much alike. They like to talk tough. They like power. And they’re both crazy enough to be a danger to their own people.

The Japan Times@japantimes.co.jp

Russia said on Wednesday that if the United States stationed missiles in Japan, this would threaten Russian security and prompt Moscow to retaliate.

I think Trump’s second term is looking like a deliberate disaster in the making. Why else would he be installing loyal, but obviously incompetent, suck-ups at high level positions in all areas of government? 1/4

And these intentional choices by our President Elect will lead us into a fear-filled chaos where the only presented solution will be to grant Trump sweeping authority over all government departments and agencies for our own good and protection. 3/4

It’s his intention to crash the whole system and then present himself as the only one who can fix what he himself broke by wielding unchecked power in the name of “safety and efficiency”. 4/4

Surely this will steer us toward another health crisis, perhaps even another pandemic. It also promises to tank the (non-billionaire) economy. We might be able to afford eggs… but a house? Savings? Not likely. 2/4
