A friend got me a job as a waitress at Big Boy. I spent my beer money on waitress shoes. My first day in training was a Saturday, I trained for exactly one table and was told to just start waiting tables. I lasted the 4 hr shift and dropped off my polyester uniform at the start of my next shift.

Probably more helpful to think of them not so much as “Canadian wildfires” but rather “climate change wildfires currently consuming Canada”

Isn't it weird that this week a currently sitting president had to pay a woman MILLIONS of dollars for *raping* (and defaming) her—and the media has forgotten all about it? There was a time that this would have been the ONLY story—until the rapist was driving from office.

They're stealing billions of your money to pay off violent right-wing psychos while doing everything in their power to spike gas up to $5 a gallon, make groceries into a luxury and hand the country over to the oligarchs who want to permanently replace you.

If you were horrified watching elected leaders run & scramble because of gun violence, just imagine how my daughter Jaime felt in school running from an active shooter before she was killed. Now, become a part of the solution & only vote for people determined to address gun violence in America.

Artemis II was overshadowed by other bad things in the news but what it accomplished was frankly amazing. We are capable of incredible and unprecedented things. I’m in awe at how far we safely sent humans into space.

The best part of this for me is that I can no longer use @ticketmaster.com at all because they think my mobile number is a vpon or whatever and won’t let me add it to my account, so I guess I just use stubhub and pay more money. That’s cool

Taylor Swift Pearl Jam Olivia Dean Zach Bryan Oasis The Cure What do they all have in common? They've all spoken out about Ticketmaster ripping off fans. But Trump just gave Ticketmaster the equivalent of a corporate pardon. It's a betrayal of every fan in America.

So the fact that we bombed a girls elementary school, while likely using AI for targeting, is going to be a major headline story dominating American news coverage when exactly?

So far the war in Iran has cost an estimated $5.5 billion. That's roughly $1 billion per day. $41,666,667 per hour. $11,574 per second. People do not want this. They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.

I think we need to take a step back and acknowledge the absurdity of House Republicans targeting their Epstein investigation on HILLARY CLINTON (who says she never met him!) while ignoring DONALD TRUMP (who Epstein described as his best friend!) These are not serious people or good faith actors.

Last night, I was notified that another person has died in ICE custody. That’s 39 people who have died on ICE’s watch during Trump’s second term. We cannot grow numb to this. There must be immediate oversight and accountability.

Guys they are really, really not winning It sucks what they’re doing to our country, and my city especially God only knows how much damage they’ll do before they’re stopped, much of it irreversible But they are very much not winning

Our founders, though deeply flawed, understood that democracy requires an informed citizenry and a government accountable to it people. That’s why the press is the only profession protected by the Constitution. It’s also why autocrats and oligarchs seek to control and destroy it.

Remember her name: Aliya Rahman Her testimony is everything and it deserves to be heard, by everyone. Decide for yourself. It’s powerful. It’s gut-wrenching. And no one should have to survive what she did. ICE MUST GO‼️

Just in time for Black History Month, Trump’s gestapo are arresting Black journalists and protestors; how does that poem go? First they came for the asylum seekers and those seeking a better life, and then they came for those whose ancestors were dragged here in chains, something, something…

As others have aptly pointed out, police forces have been murdering people for a long time, especially POC. This terrorism from ICE is only a continuation and newest version of what we have been seeing for a long time.

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him. “When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

The National Basketball Players Association releases a statement following the Trump regime’s murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, saying that NBA players “can no longer remain silent.” The NBPA is standing up for free speech, civil liberties, and the people of Minnesota demanding justice.

Hours after federal agents killed Alex Pretti, Bondi sent Walz a letter: turn over voter rolls, Medicaid data, and SNAP records or ICE stays. Senator Murphy: "They're openly using state violence as a bargaining chip to seize election infrastructure." This is extortion.

7 centrist Democrats voted to fund ICE and DHS. Democratic leadership didn't whip votes. They still haven't called for abolishing ICE. I will actively shame and pressure all feckless Democrats until they evolve into fighters or retire. I'm not here for any BlueAnon nonsense.
