As the mother of a Daniel I approve this delightful piece.

This is a near perfect article whose only defect is the fact that it refers to them as Dan Sullivans rather than the correct Dans Sullivan. www.washingtonsun.com/national/dan...

Spoil away! You love to see it.

Democrats don’t need 50% to win the Senate. If the Libertarian gets 3% in Texas, Talarico wins at 48.5. In Iowa, Laehn is polling at 8%. Nader and Stein cost Democrats the White House. This year, the spoilers are hurting Republicans. www.messageboxnews.com/p/how-third-...

This is excellent

🧵🧵🧵 The NY Times posted a 15-minute video today in which I got to tell NYT what’s wrong with its coverage. They said they saw my critical posts on Bluesky and invited me to do a video with them to air my grievances. Weird, right? I didn’t hold back. I blasted their sanewashing of MAGA extremism.

I have no time for any news outlet that doesn't call him a convicted child predator who was also, it so happens, a long-serving House Speaker.

Kai Ryssdal@kairyssdal.bsky.social

If your newscast says Hastert was 'tied to' a child sex abuse scandal, you're failing your listeners.

Fascinating, says the woman trying her darndest to get an agent to pay attention!

What he's saying here is what I vibed with as a kid Catholic. But when the Church felt too much other than that, I left. This is what matters. I hope for Texas' sake, he's breaking through with this message.

@meidastouch.com @hcrichardson.bsky.social This is so powerful from James Talarico. This man doesn't need to have memes of himself dressed up like Jesus, he has him in his heart. youtube.com/shorts/WJ02N...

A 17-month-old girl was hospitalized with E. coli after consuming raw milk. Soon, another child — a 6-year-old girl who’d drunk milk from the same farm — would wind up in the same San Diego hospital, with the same potentially fatal illness.

propublica.orgA Girl Nearly Died After Drinking Raw Milk. The State Did Little to Punish the Unlicensed Farmer Who Sold It.California is teeming with black-market dairies, propped up by consumer demand fueled by misinformation. What does "stands in defense" mean? They should walk out in defense, imo.

Bill Grueskin@bgrueskin.bsky.social

Last night: The mighty White House Correspondents Association declares that it “stands in defense of our colleagues.” This morning: Trump administration refuses entry to MS Now crew, confiscates their White House access badges.

Yes because we can all confidently say that abusers always end up in jail.

Rep. Max Miller: "These are incredibly serious criminal accusations. If these accusations were true, I would be in jail — I would be. My former wife would not have been offering to cook me dinner and inviting me to playgrounds. Think about that."

The State Department. A place that famously has no actual maps lying around.

PBS News@pbsnews.org

The State Department said it takes "full responsibility" for "hastily" altering and then presenting a map of Africa at a global AIDS conference that mislabeled every single country it highlighted. An analysis by Reuters found a watermark in the map image that suggests it was made with OpenAI.

This is an awful, shortsighted, painfully horrible idea. College isn’t, or shouldn’t be, a training program.

NPR@npr.org

If an undergraduate program's graduates don't earn more than workers who never went to college, that program could be cut off from federal student loans. But is a degree just about making more money?

Trump on Strait of Hormuz: I think in the end, we will end up just controlling the whole thing.

Not saying anything was an option that was just sitting right there, Senator. No one on the right side of history is going to care that you thought Lindsay was a fun, cool colleague when he wasn't being a fascist's toadie.

What I’ll remember most about Senator Graham was his sense of humor and how he deployed it to move his policy positions forward. Though we did not often agree, Senator Graham was never disagreeable.

When Lindsey Graham appears in a history book, it'll be his prediction in 2016 that the Republican Party would be destroyed for supporting Donald Trump and then a few lines about how he proved it by becoming Trump's toady. That's pretty much it. That's his legacy. Pathetic lickspittle.
