Why have the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good and the impunity for their killlers not been an issue in Dems midterm campaigns? I know there’s no shortage of issues but those were defining atrocities of Trump Two which every Republican owns.

I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

Astonishing: Maxwell was willing to tell Blanche about some of Trump's rapes, and he ordered her not to. "Let's not talk about inviduals." WTF were they there to talk about? There's EVIDENCE on this.

Amanda Marcotte@amandamarcotte.bsky.social

This report is genuinely overwhelming, in terms of the evidence both against Trump and of a ham-fisted cover-up. Including one instance in which Ghislaine Maxwell was actually about to mention one of Trump's young accusers and Todd Blanche told her to stop talking. The media response is "yawn."

We don’t know if the early vote will be predictive because all Republicans could just be waiting to vote until Election Day. This is a very good analysis by a former CIA analyst supporting what other Iran watchers have been arguing: the Iran war has produced more hardline and less cautious Iranian leaders. This helps explain why Trump keeps getting it wrong and isn't finding it easy to end this catastrophic war.
