On March 18, 2025, Secretary of State Marco Rubio handed the reins of the US Agency for International Development to Jeremy Lewin, a 28-year-old graduate of Harvard Law School and DOGE affiliate. But USAID HR said he was not onboarded.

wired.comA 28-Year-Old DOGE Operative Gutted USAID. HR Had No Record of Him Working ThereDespite the agency's human resources department saying he hadn’t even been onboarded, Jeremy Lewin oversaw the destruction of USAID. It’s not clear he had the legal authority to do so.

Imagine being this fucking fragile. This kid is an absolute joy to watch. I hope he has an epic career ahead of him!

They called the cops on this 3-year-old Black boy because he was kickin the white kids' ass on the soccer field.

It's quite alarming that we're already having to filter AI-generated content out of our libraries, and I suspect this is very much the future. Though "AI authors" is a strange term. An AI can't be an author. It's a way of stealing other people's work.

In my latest for @undark.org, I compare AI adoption in science to the Ship of Theseus: "If you swap out every wooden plank on a ship over time, is it still the same vessel?" I argue that science derives authority from something more than data generation + publication. undark.org/2026/09/25/o...

It was lovely to hear about Sebastiano's work partly because we got to hear how his institution is legitimizing #SciComm as a pursuit in its own right, and partly because of the cool ways he's engaging audiences with research. I may or may not have taken notes for our own @scientistsinc.org events 🤫

Thank you to @cancerevo.org for being my co-host today 😄
