Early 3D adventure games on 80s tech: The Freescape games As I look more into old computer gaming, everything that turns up from the British computer market seems to just be the coolest thing I've ever seen. Many are probably familiar with Elite, which was already revolutionary with its early [...]

brazil proved something this election: ignoring works. we made a lot of propaganda go under the rug because we didn't pay attention to it, and the right is upset that their fake news are not sticking stop amplifying the things you don't want to see. make them irrelevant.

One metal magazine of the 90s actually coined the phrase "Hetfield Effect" to describe the tendency of rockers to switch from "anti-war / anti-establishment" to "patriotic / conservative" pretty much the second they passed draft age

I had a chance to chat a little with @boltrailwaydog.bsky.social in the afternoon and had the idea for a sticker in the style of an old match box celebrating Czech Railway Workers Day. Just a little idea is all but might revise down the line. #furry #furryart #fursona #anthroart

basing your long-term online username on a very short-lived meme has always been kind of a silly idea, but nowadays its scary as hell. i don't think u need that 4chan neonazi slang in ur name big dawg

Losing my mind while doing some research for my creature design lecture that the closest relative to the maned wolf is the bush dog. Like there has gotta be a fable where the maned wolf took all the leggie from its cousin

i just feel like that as i grow up into a real actual human being i should have eventually worked out how to eat fruit off a fruit tree without also eating 1000 bugs, but i'm really not sure if i'll ever wrap my head around that

dosbox has been some of the most fun i've had with emulating, and the most thankful i've been for internet archive contributors who preserve everything imaginable

Tried out this 1997 PC game called Interstate '76, where primitive 3D graphics meet cheesy 70s action. Had to check it out as soon as I heard about it. In this game, the once-great vehicular combat genre is the stage for a world where America never recovered from the 70s oil crisis. Long story[...]

some ANSI art sillies from past couple days made in TheDraw, a popular ANSI art program back in the BBS days. hadn't given myself much reference for what ANSI art usually looks like beforehand, but this was really fun i wanna do more
