"I hate this thing, but some of the worst people in the world also hate it for different reasons so I guess I need to keep this one to myself" is one of the defining experiences of modern life.

CBS identified Illinois based Three Z Printing as the holder of the permit associated with the fake transgender mailers. One of the owners, Matt Zerrusen, is based in Dallas. His Instagram shows pictures with Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump, and comments from local Republicans.

I need some fast CSS help. I'm able to pay a bit. I hope it isn't too much work and it just some tweaking. I need a better designer eye with CSS knowledge to get something tightened up for me. DM if you can help.

A Mexican friend of mine makes and sells her own small batch salsa. It's so perfectly good. She entered it into a salsa competition here in Texas. She came in dead last. The panel of only white judges said it was too spicy.

This was my most challenging writing so far. I wrote the whole of chapter 2 which all about voodoo. I did a deep dive on the history of voodoo and created a new magic system inspired by it. This was /very/ tricky to do right, but I was determined.

The magic system was challenging, but in a slightly different way. I had to create something new that worked in the current rule framework, is interesting and fun, evoked "voodoo" but in a respectful way. I think I threaded that needle.

I read at least 5 or 6 books, cover to cover about voodoo, its history and practices. Three of those books became my primary sources, which get cited in the final product. I was also careful to separate pop culture voodoo from the real world, but I also had to make something that is fun to play.

This is a weird space to be in, but I think I did it. I went hard and wrote the most accurate history piece I could manage. I was sure they were going to deny it or ask me to tone it down, but it was published pretty much exactly as I wrote it, which is a testament to Edge and the FFG Story team.

Earlier this week, I agreed to interviews with two USA Today journalists. They wrote fantastic articles about the Cornell case that I'm proud to have been a part of. What I did not know is that their employer considers interviews to proprietary and opens up recordings to be used by any journalist.

Leder Games going all out for their new game. This is so good.

We're big fans of local Saint Paul band Alligator Orchestra. After hearing songs they wrote about Root, we commissioned them to record a Kart theme song. They came back with "Don't Look Down!", two minutes of raucous pop-punk that's perfect for Kart's reckless downhill races.

If college is free then we wouldn't need scholarships and then we wouldn't need sport scholarships and then we wouldn't need to be outraged at trans kids playing sports.

Kart, the new downhill racing game from Leder Games, is now on Kickstarter! You're a rowdy tween bombing a homemade gokart through your neighbors' backyards. No brakes, no gas…every turn you go faster and faster, losing control (and spare pieces of your Kart) in the process. BACK IT: bit.ly/KartOnKS

My dad was a Marine. He had an interest in rifles but didn't own any. He also hated nazis. He would have thought the killing of Charlie Kirk was hilarious. I'm sorry he wasn't alive to see it. I'll be laughing extra for you today, Dad

"I'm not that person. I don't flip tortoises I find in the desert. I can promise you that. Of course I'd turn it back over. I'm engaging with you as a human being. Why would I leave it out there baking? There's no there's no reason for me to do that."

Absolutely incredible line in this article: "Instead of arriving unprepared and leaving with a gaping wound in the back of his skull, Lang showed up in the back of a truck..."

Starting Monday I have some special cards that very few people have seen or remember. There was actually a small set (90 cards) that came out in 1991 before the most well-known Impel series, produced by the company Comic Images. I'll be labeling these as Series 0.

Super proud of the writing I did on this! The whole of chapter 2 which covers the history of Voodoo and a new magic system, plus most of the NPCs. Excited to see what people think of it.

Another GenCon in the bag! Ever grateful that Edge Studio keeps asking me back to run their room. Very tired but hopeful with new possibilities from all the new people I got to meet!
