beyond stoked to be working on this new thing with @stephaniedriscoll.bsky.social & the inimitable Jeanna LeClair. if you’re looking to self-publish and your game is set in low light, hit us up! check out phantomfriends.com for more info.

phantom friends@phantomfriends.com

we’re phantom friends, a new indie fund. our focus is on low light worlds. we're drawn to the umbral and moody, the glow of a city at night, a darkness that feels alive. games that live in the shadows, both visually and narratively.

check it ouuuuut

Vertical Slice@verticalslice.news

The Repository is EXPANDING! Today, we've added pitch decks for The Haunting of Joni Evers and The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham. We've even thrown in a bonus 'game deck' for the latter. All documents were generously donated by developer and publisher @causewaystudios.com. Go on, have a gander!

ttwo things. the wweek has forgotten an important third category of losers: cop humpers. and @pnwpolicyangel.bsky.social doesn’t need to invite me to mock them, because their corruption is transparent & obvious.

Beatrix Li@beatrixrated.bsky.social

Women of color in office are consistently told they are “not professional,” see how the media painted AOC’s college video of her dancing. “Decorum” is a dog whistle for sexism and racism: “just act white and don’t rock the boat. Be a nice girl.” Re-elect Angelita. @pnwpolicyangel.bsky.social

i wish @wweek.com all the best on fighting for their measly share of the lake oswego OregonLive & Fox12 commentariat

our local corrupt public servants can't even get their friends to do the paperwork right 😭

haven’t seen this many people miss the point(s) of a movie since oppenheimer

If you like fucking around in multiplayer games, or want an early taste of a neverending adventure in a shapeshifting world: Semper Games

The Gardens Await.... Sign up for our pre-alpha tests on PC, starting later this year! bit.ly/gardens-alpha

between this, grandpa's giant font size clearly displaying racism, and the shoe incubator, it's embarrassing that our local corruption scandals are this incompetent. these are like bad plot lines from a mike schur show. "your honor, my spouse ate the phone"

Portland Mercury@portlandmercury.com

Dan Ryan is under a court order not to delete messages from his personal phone, which may contain public records. In court documents, Ryan said he no longer has the phone he's been using, because his spouse traded it in the same day a judge barred him from deleting records. He says nothing was lost.

incredible stuff here

pnwpolicyangel aka Angelita 👼@pnwpolicyangel.bsky.social

This made me L O L My answer: talks about structures of power and influence in politics, the values we have, the communities we’re trying to serve Their answer: these youngins and their Tikie Toks refuse to compromise on core values! So naive! www.wweek.com/news/2026/09...

sickos yes

reacher s4 has everything. philadelphia, sandwiches, american supported indonesian death squads, and two incredible actors from the expanse

come through, show your game!

Share your game with our booth at the largest retro games show there is! We're at @retrogamingexpo.bsky.social again this October and submissions for showcasing your game or volunteering with us are open now! pigsquad.com/form-prge-2026 VERY excited for this year 😍🕹

taylor sheridan finally concocted a way to do an epic takedown of a hypocritical rich-but-pro-communist university professor, and of course he had the character give a rousing speech about how AI would inevitably bring about luxury space communism before he got punched in the throat

my non-unique and unrequested PAX Take: it continues to slide in a return to its origins as a regional fan convention, but with national-level costs & economics. no idea how reedpop can stop or slow it, feels like their lunch is getting absolutely gobbled by the proximity to gamescom.

maybe they shouldn’t! there’s cool stuff here, but without SLICE & the MIX i probably wouldn’t even make the trip up from portland unless we had a game in the show. good hangs though.

i will not reveal how much i personally drank

phantom friends@phantomfriends.com

we love coffee and indie games, so we’re (selfishly) sponsoring the coffee cart at @seattleindies.bsky.social SLICE this year.

there’s a place. out west somewhere. Colorado. things happen there, they can’t rightfully be explained. but they’re as true as the desert. reckon the right someone could take a look, maybe get to the bottom of things. maybe come back with more than they ought.

To escape your guilt, what… and who… would you leave on the cutting room floor? Welcome to The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham, coming 2027.

great thoroughly reported piece. there are many worthy indie media outlets asking for your limited subscription budget, but this is my favorite. def recommend giving it a look if you are in the PNW. (they’re on substack for now, but planning to leave when they can, and you can donate off-platform)

The Western Edge@thewesternedge.bsky.social

Years before President Trump began systematically rolling back DEI efforts, Oregon's Parks department fired its first two DEI coordinators, buried a report on barriers to access and, according to ex-employees and contractors, stifled inclusion efforts. www.thewesternedge.media/p/dei-at-ore...

great work from @jeremiahhayden.bsky.social, ninsom has dropped his support of this nonsense

it's... good?

mattie lubchansky@mattielubchansky.com

hey just making sure everyone knows tom hardy put out a rap album where he does the “"now is the winter of our discontent” monologue from richard III in the bane voice on one of the tracks. okay have a good weekend

actually it looks like the $32k contribution didn't come from a PAC as such, but a nonprofit organized by Vadim Mozyrsky, an administrative law judge and twice failed local candidate. the nonprofit appears to have been dissolved in April, a few months before the donation to the new PAC in question.

dreww@dreww.gg

also worth taking a look at their list of donors, the top 2 of which are another anti-progressive PAC and the billionaire president & CEO of columbia sportswear: secure.sos.state.or.us/orestar/goto...

the cool part about political corruption in a podunk backwater (lovingly) like portland is that nobody is any good at it so they just leave a massive paper trail with their names and jobs associated, it's not mossack fonseca. the problem is there are like 5 overworked people actually looking

other interesting donors include an executive assistant who lists her place of employment as Tut Tut LLC, with a business address in rockaway. the manager of that LLC shares a name with the former chief operating officer of restoration hardware. download the excel version and take a look!

this shit ain’t a joke

It's still Albrot@albrot.party
