We deployed CO2 cryotherapy at a health centre and trained the staff to make a parasitological diagnosis of CL and deliver CO2 cryotherapy. We found ~2/3 individuals with CL could be treated at the local health facility using this model. Most people received 4-6 rounds of cryotherapy.

Least surprising result ever. I await someone from Science Technology Studies to do a serious piece of work on the Vitamin D trials obsession @jonagar.bsky.social

JAMA@jama.com

In metastatic #ColorectalCancer, adding high-dose vitamin D3 to chemotherapy plus bevacizumab did not improve progression-free survival vs standard-dose vitamin D3. ja.ma/3RGAkMT

Current list of negative trials that made it to Lancet, NEJM, JAMA alone Cancer *1, MACE * 2, Mortality *1, Diabetes Prevention *1, ICU *1, Generally not being dead * 1, Fractures * 2, Asthma *1, Positive trials Fracture *1, Auto-immune disease * 1 (v. small effect) Not a great track record.
