At 12:30 am I hiked solo 10 miles into the Rainbow Basin, got back to our camp at 5 am, slept for 3 hours, woke up, drank coffee and ate a light breakfast, hiked another 10 miles out-and-back up the Gabriel Icefall on the Gulkana Glacier. Total was 29 miles and 5,000 feet of elevation gain.
