Houston will have some chances for spotty showers today, and then again on Friday and Saturday. Better rain chances may come around a week from today, when the region’s next cold front comes barreling through. #houwx

Houston’s typical high temperatures on Halloween have been getting warmer, and that will likely continue this year. Is there another decently strong cold front coming through any time soon? #houwx

Houston voters, a tip: Use the Harrisvotes.com Voter Centers map that shows waiting times. This lets you avoid overcrowded locations. We live near the W. Gray center, which always has a huge line, but voted at the Galleria Hampton Inn. Easy peasy. www.harrisvotes.com/Vote-Centers

Good advice here. The closest center to me has 30+ waiting but the next one over is little to no wait

Given the area’s ongoing sunny forecast, we take a trip into the future and offer you a way-too-early forecast for Halloween in Houston. 🎃 Also, don’t sleep on our weather today: It looks absolutely lovely across the region. 😎 #houwx

Houston’s pleasant, fall-like conditions will continue at least through the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and moderate humidity. Our clear skies will hold a boon early on Thursday, with good viewing conditions for the Orionid meteor shower. #houwx

It’s an 80s party, baby! Houston’s high temperatures for the foreseeable future should be in the 80s, with lows mostly in the lower 60s. It’s not cold by any means, but it’s a big change from summer heat and humidity. #houwx

CEO Said A Thing! (h/t @karlbode.com) Look, I know stories about Elon can get serious traffic. But if you're going to do them, you have to do your readers the basic service of pointing out the guy's very long and well-documented history of saying he'll make things happen that then never happen.
Elon Musk has said he will give every child in America a stake in SpaceX, his $2 trillion aerospace and artificial intelligence company, as tech firms face intensifying scrutiny over their impact on society. https://cnn.it/4yWTjTJ

Seems relevant to that flood of journalists who in the last few weeks announced publicly that it was okay to return to X, that the platform had gotten better, and the worst aspects of it had been minimized. This is what you have endorsed.
On X, users have circulated nonconsenual AI videos created by Grok of a woman they think is Jane Doe. They continue to spread her name. People have praised X for staying relevant for AI and tech conversation. But it also is the main vector for a doxing. That is X. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/16/n...
People are all aquiver about the updated Siri Remote included with the $300 updated Apple TV 4K, because it has full FindMy capabilities. You can buy it for $69 to use with a current ATV4K. But there's also an El Lago remote case that holds an AirTag for just $16. www.elago.com/products/202...

We look ahead to Friday’s front, and at just how low temperatures may drop on Saturday night. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that lows reach 50 degrees, or below, for inland parts of the Houston region. #houwx

Houston has a (fairly slim) possibility of showers today, but a cold front on Friday will bring gusty winds and cooler temperatures. Saturday night will be the coldest, and we think most of the region drops into the 50s. 😮 #houwx

Likely not to impact #Houston, but folks here should still pay attention. More likely to target LA to FLA, or maybe just fall apart. 🤷🏻♂️ #houwx
