Has anyone reported this shocking example to the company? Is it @sainsburys.bsky.social ? If *everyone* concerned contacted them it might help and can't hinder! Try googling to find ceo address, customer services, etc. @edi.bike @chdot.bsky.social @edfoc.bsky.social @policescotland.bsky.social

A strange thing as there are no restrictions on loading here, you can just stop outside the cycle lane and drop off your grocery delivery for free any time of day or night. Why wouldn’t a professional in a liveried vehicle understand this?

"Unlike the car, the e-cargo bike affords a unique sensitivity to the natural world and local environment. This enables parents to train their children in local geography.." Children benefit from seeing how places connect... unlike the 'drive in movie' effect of a car window. (+ screen devices) 📽

Energy Saving Trust Scotland scheme was a game changer back then. EdFoC persuaded them that bikes had their part to play. We actually sold one on scheme, a Circe Helios tandem for parent & child, which had no motor or battery. This might have saved more carbon than an e-bakfiets? 🤔 Pros & cons.

Our experience of hiring out our cargo bike over the last 11 years, is that when people have the opportunity to try a cargo bike, they like it and want to buy one, sadly ScotGov does not seem interested in trying to lower the barriers to cargo bike ownership, this is a massive-missed opportunity.

This. Just ask the lad who hired EdFoC’s e-cargo bike, got an EST loan for one after falling in love with it, and wound up running this account 😂

E-bikes have already done way more than electric cars to reduce fossil fuel use (The CO2 savings from switching to EVs have also been completely wiped out by car-bloat and the uptake of SUVs)

Reducing carbon emissions: the potential for e-bikes in Scotland www.walkwheelcycletrust.org.uk/our-blog/res... Read the full report here www.walkwheelcycletrust.org.uk/media/kcvabt... Questions remain as to why the ebike loan scheme was scraped
