Actually, I believe we already have a link-publishing board: Bluesky, with votes (likes). What we need isn’t new lexicons but a new interface (a condensed view with ranking)

I have the Anki app, but it is way more fun to taylor one for myself with games through the t3 agent interface and get it served to me through tailscale.

working on 2D sectioned illustrations in the style of Smith's Modern Optical Engineering - smooth line renderer resolves in a couple ms and only needs to update on parameter changes, so I think it's a nice per-element color-coded visual

fisheye, peripheral rays showing a lot of chromatic aberration which is really cool

.taylorswift huh! the applicant is "TAS Rights Management, LLC" - is that Taylor? will swifties get fan domains like ilove.taylorswift or somesuch?

Would be nice if our French "Experts" (the journalists favorites, not the real ones) update their prior, but they can not as they are corrupted by their own discourse and audience.

I often see people argue that clean energy is not reducing emissions, because it just adds to rather than replaces fossil fuels. This argument is deeply misguided – clean energy built since 2005 has displaced 23 billion tons. I dive in over at The Climate Brink:

"I spent a lot of time going over the design decisions involved here, trying my best to complain about async Rust, only to end up going “Oh. Yeah. That’s reasonable. That makes sense. I can see why they did it that way.” every step of the way." herecomesthemoon.net/2026/10/asyn...

The London #Haskell meetup is looking for talk submissions for November, and for meetups early next year. They're after lightning talks (~15 minutes) and full-length talks (~30 minutes). How to submit: london-haskell.github.io#submit-a-talk

JRR Tolkien: You paint that picture of the key scene from the Two Towers where Frodo and Sam fight Gollum? Donato Giancola: Sure did, Ron, real fuckin' sexy just like you asked. JRRT: What.

advice for junior developers: you are no longer a developer you are a builder you are a solution provider enter every room and make things happen learn when no one is watching create because you can fix problems because they offend you bend the world to your will and take credit

I did not write on my blog for a full year. Before It made sense to share my exp with software, now the same kind of info is vulgarised way better and in a correct English by the two letter tech. I need to understand what I worth to share: Is it human feelings and experience ? Original ideas ?

As humans, we love stories more than straight facts. I find it more interesting to read about the journey, with all its pitfalls, than the full solution, but at the same time, I'm also drawn to exciting new results, whatever means were used.

It's great to see tailoring accommodate such extreme movement today. This level of tailoring was a bit more common in the past, as you can see in old films featuring Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly, but many modern suits will lift off the wearer's neck even when they're just walking.

The cat's out of the bag: what I discovered is that #Radicle has a major security vulnerability. That's a first of that magnitude and a learning experience for me. I hate everything about it, but shit happens. Better now than later. I wrote the whole story at 👇 maninak.com/blog/radicle...

maninak.comVulnerability disclosure: Radicle nodes send private repositories in cleartextI discovered that Radicle nodes send private repositories over the network in cleartext. This is the story of how I found out, what exactly is happening, and what to do now.

Big news, but can't talk about it. Yet. 👀 ⚪🎩

I'm currently writing an article for @atproto.fr on good security practices for app users, and PDS OAuth is genuinely dangerous nobody checks the url. Passkeys look like the right way here, since they're bound to the service domain. Shoutout to @tranquil.farm for implementing them early 🫶

Mannheim has a NixRust meetup 😮

Tried posting on atmo.rsvp, but that didn't work, so it goes here: Our next #NixOS and #Rust meetup takes place on Tuesday, October 6, at the DHBW Mannheim! As main talk, we'll have @matheus23.com from @iroh.computer, the QUIC-based peer to peer network. rheinneckar.events/events/67013...
