My life, experiences, and politics all neatly summed up in a short blurb.

So can I donate to Democrats without exposing myself to more text spam? It's a real issue. I type "STOP" ten times a day and it continues. I want to donate to a Senate/Congressional fund, but honestly, I don't know if I'll do it if it makes this worse. @charlesgaba.com ?

It really quite simple. Susan Collins took a bribe from a fraudulent military contractor that robbed our government. She should die in prison.

ProPublica@propublica.org

Sen. Susan Collins helped steer millions in federal defense contracts to Navatek, whose CEO illegally funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign. The FBI sought to launch a probe and was eyeing Collins and other lawmakers. Then Trump gutted the unit in charge. THREAD 🧵

Taco Bell defending posts blaming the supplier are weird. The main job of a restaurant is sourcing quality ingredients. Of course Taco Bell is responsible for corners their suppliers cut. If they had a gross bathroom and blamed their cleaning contractor, would that be an excuse?

What pisses me off about all of these reversals is that almost none of them include a mea culpa that they fucked up despite there being a MASSIVE trove of glaring red flags long before yesterday’s story broke.

ELIZABETH WARREN calls on Platner to drop out: “There can be no tolerance for sexual assault… With so much at stake, the best path forward is for Graham Platner to step aside as the Democratic nominee and address these serious allegations outside this Senate race.”

My grandpa was at MLK’s speech at the Mall representing his union. He talked about how he was way back at the end of the reflecting pool, with a sea of people in front of him. It was hot out and people were wading in to cool down. He never mentioned algae.

A basic truth about robotics and AI is that any fully autonomous humanoid robot intelligent and physically capable enough to be useful would also be capable of murder. 5 laws compliance is not happening in the real world. AI doesn't work like that.

Indeed. A person rushed at POTUS's security perimeter and was stopped there. A person whose plan is to do a one-man charge through POTUS's security perimeter is, ipso facto, irrational. To the extent anything can be done to prevent this, it's universal free healthcare including mental healthcare.

Those of us in the pro-democracy movement can and should hold both of these positions. 1. We unequivocally reject violence. 2. We will unequivocally oppose efforts by this administration to use last night as an excuse to try to suppress criticism and criminalize dissent.

This take is so gross, blaming the (((junior))) partner in this war. Israeli's and their soldiers are far more in harms way then Americans. It is us, the Americans, that hardly put our soldiers in harms way. Israelis have committed war crimes, but they didn't choose war. Americans chose this.

Our new ad speaks to one of the most urgent issues I hear on the campaign trail: our healthcare system is collapsing. Hospitals are closing. Maternity wards are disappearing. People wait a year just to see a primary care doctor. We should shut down Big Pharma, not our hospitals.

Our commitment to Israel cannot look like silence. It should be speaking up when it matters most. American Jews have every right and responsibility to question a war launched by the US and Israel without a clear strategy or endgame. More by J Street’s @ilangoldenberg.bsky.social and Nadav Tamir:

Often it’s a mistake to go after red state democrats who are the best we can get, but Cuellar’s vote for voter suppression is a bridge to far. He must be kicked out of committees, primaries, and shunned. Motherfucker is a wicked and cowardly little shit.

I work with data centers. You put them in cold climates near cheap hydro power most of the time. Not in space where power infrastructure is ridiculously expensive and heat does not dissipate. This is meme stock trash.

Now that we have a deal to fund the government, Dems should NOT fund DHS. We never have to fund it. It is not a force for good under Trump. Let it fester and die unless we get a reasonable person running it at the 2024 budget. You know, the kind of deal Trump won't take without weeks of delay.

Brilliant Egyptian analyst Dalia Zaida: “From ‘Mein Kampf’ to Hamas apologetics, how generations in the Arab world are conditioned to deny Jewish suffering. From my very personal experience in Egypt, how Hitler's Nazism and European antisemitism were systematically embedded into the Arab mindset”:

Seems like Dems can (and should) pass a one year non-DHS funding bill and then double cross Trump and refuse to fund DHS under any circumstance other than complete rollback to 204 levels along with many restrictions Trump will never accept. They should do it and then never fund DHS.

Biden wasn’t perfect. Def had issues, some missteps…. Kinda like a normal, thoughtful, fallable human would. But he wasn’t a lying POS crook. I respected him. I voted for him. I stand by him. tRump? Fuck him in his heart. Cock in the aorta. Literally fuck his heart until it explodes. Too much?

Vance is going all in on defending the Young Republican Nazi group chats because he is one of them.

Vance on public outrage over the "I love Hitler" group chat: "Grow up! Focus on the real issues. Don't focus on what kids say in group chats... The reality is that kids do stupid things, especially young boys — they tell edgy, offensive jokes. That's what kids do."

Just call it what it is. Trump opposes charity. He opposes helping his fellow man. This is the definition of wickedness.

Trump throws Sudanese Christians under the bus—rescinds genocide designation, slashes USAID aid, and deports refugees into war zones. 11M displaced. Famine confirmed. This isn’t policy—it’s betrayal. A Bible photo op doesn’t erase the blood on his hands.

Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
