a little over a decade ago i learned what a trans person was on deviantart, knew instantly i was one, and came out to everyone in my life within the span of a week. i was clueless about any consequences that might incur because as i kid i had never knowingly encountered the concept before

if you have mommy issues and want to have a really bad time you should read Chi no Wadachi ("trail of blood", or "blood on the tracks" depending on who translated it). nothing has ever hurt my feelings as bad as the back half of that manga

stuff from last yr. instead of making a proper page for shimmerzine i did several drawings to accompany the fics featured. you kinda wouldn't be able to tell unless you read the credits though, i really went chameleon mode on em (fanfic excerpts by majadin and redhoodie21 respectively)

had a dream i was looking thru a sketchbook of mine and it had some rlly neat stuff in it, slightly diff from my usual fare, and im mad none of it was real >:/

if all goes well, comic will be finished and debuting at portland zine symposium oct 17-18. final draft (minus cover and such) came out to 26 pages
