I genuinely don't understand why a distro needs millions of dollars in funding, or why these companies feel the need to participate. Does this distro make these companies money or make them more secure or productive at this order of magnitude? I can't believe that to be true...

I'm tired of talking to AI. I want to talk to real people. But even when I talk to people, they forward my questions to AI and send me the AI's answer.

imo one of the biggest problems right now both in open and closed work is models yeeting large, unreviewable PRs. breaking that work down into small chunks - something that we were already doing pre-ai - makes that process much more sustainable imo

I feel this so much everyday. I love technology and toys and coding. But things feel a lot less fun, less human, less enjoyable, and less sustainable than ever for me personally.

Just implemented this on my blog too. Pretty easy to do since the posts are already in Markdown!

If you want your content to be readable and accessible to LLMs, it's become increasingly important to make it compact and token-efficient. That's why I wrote a guide to support LLMs searching your blog in two easy steps — or with one simple prompt. Plus, a lesson on markdown and context windows.

I don't think Gas Town is a project that could (or should) be used by anyone for Real Engineering™, but I think there's some interesting concepts to tease out over time.

This was a lot of fun to build, even if I wanted to tear my hair out every time I ran into some weird AVFoundation behavior. The transcript views use timing data along with a neat lil TextRenderer to create more immersive transcripts that let you follow along without needing to unmute.

This is a fun lil Liquid Glass animation quirk on iOS 26. It looks like the labels on each tab are all out of wack. The text changes, and labels animation from left-to-right in an odd way!

I added this lil alias to my dotfiles last week, paired with a one-liner in ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md about consulting the `AdditionalDocumentation` directory: `alias xcclaude='claude --add-dir "$(xcode-select -p)/../PlugIns/IDEIntelligenceChat.framework/Versions/A/Resources/AdditionalDocumentation"'`

Claude Code's terminal UX is impressively tidy. The little animations are so delightful, and thought process is easy to comprehend. The `/`, `#`, and `>` prefixes are natural, with the lil descriptions below making them stick in your brain too. What a delight!

I've been needing to run `sudo killall bluetoothd` once a week since upgrading to Tahoe to fix the stuttering in my AirPods and my mouse movements. 🫠

Particle's Liquid Glass update is now out! I had a lot of fun adapting what's already a beautiful app to Apple's new design. So many of our components were natural fits for glass containers, like adopting `tabViewBottomAccessory` for our podcast playback

Since June, I've filed 6 FBs/Radars on Liquid Glass bugs and quirks and zero of them have gotten responses... 🫠 - FB19242391 - FB19269510 - FB19588792 - FB20180294 - FB20350389 - FB20502098 Hoping to see iOS 26.1 and beyond address these, but none of them have been fixed in the first two betas yet
