Ugh... okay, so, I gotta shit on my fellow aro-ace spec peeps for a hot minute, because some of you are pieces of shit. Identifying as "aro-ace" is not an excuse to be bigoted against other aro-ace spec people or say bigoted things. The fact YOU have no sexual or romantic attraction at all...

Some of this is trauma talking after having had the misfortune of having loved another aro-ace spec person who engaged me romantically, decided that wasn't their speed, and then decided to gaslight me that it never happened and abusively controlling my language after instead of just saying...

..."sorry, I don't think I feel the way you feel, and I think we should stop". But yeah, controlling the language of aro-ace queer people by forcing it into allocisheteronormative boxes is not helpful, and it's not healthy, it does a lot of fucking damage and harm, and y'all gotta stop.

Queerplatonic relationships are not just "friends but stronger", as many queerplationic people will just refer to themselves as a couple or as partners, because, to them, that bond is more meaningful that what we say when we mean "friend", and it's just not easy to explain to a world...

...of people steeped in allocisheteronormativity that "my "friend" means as much to me as your wife means to you". Without the cultural terms to say what we mean, we resort to what works, and when you equate a cishetallo friend group and a ace or even aro-ace polycule, that's flat wrong.

Baby food is underrated. Not the savory kinds, because blegh, but like, the fruity ones. Especially the Gerber one that's mashed prunes. It's like applesauce but waaaaay better, so IDK why it's only marketed as being for babies, because plain unsweetened applesauce is boring.

Could I get pudding cups with my SNAP instead? Yes. Do I? Not often. I haven't found a lactose free rice or tapioca and the odds of me forgetting to take lactase tabs with the pudding are unpleasantly high, but prunesauce has no such risks, the prunesauce does not cause debilitating gut pain.

There's also a banana purée that's probably decent if you like bananas, I'm just undetwhelmed when it comes to bananas.

As a kid, I refused to eat the savory turkey spew goop after a short time, but I never outgrew the prunes. My mom bought the jars of prunes for me well into elementary school because applesauce cups were just mid by comparison to the puréed prunes, which is why I started buying those again at 32.

I am very stupid. I love seals, so in my sleep I dream that seals swim upstream to pup on my lawn, some left abandoned, but, like an idiot, my sleep brain won't just let build me this paradise, it must have anxiety, and thus, while my yard's full of needy seals, I am not a licensed rehabilitator.

I am not kidding whatsoever, I constantly dream of fat baby seals to hug in places there should not be fat and huggable baby seals, and it's always illegal because I am stupid and I build dreams like a dummy, for how can the joy of petting cretcher be complete without "no pet it" anxiety?

"It's not a genitalia exam because a doctor will do it" is the exact kind of medicalized misogyny that is the problem, like schools demamding to track student's periods or ANY OTHER invasion of a cis girl's medical privacy in the name of "protection" and "fairness".

Have you actually read Section 3(2) of I-638? It requires a signed verification from a student’s personal healthcare provider, relying on reproductive anatomy, genetics, or naturally produced testosterone. Nowhere does it require genital inspections, much less repeated invasive examinations.

This is a medical privacy violation bill disguised as a ban on trans girls in sports. Trans girls DO NOT HAVE a female birth certificate. If you just wanted to ban them, which is also wrong, you'd go off the birth certificates, but cis intersex girls ALSO receive female birth certificates...

...along with all sorts of other gender-non-conforming girls who are legally female from birth, and this bill attacks THEM, too. Rejecting LEGAL BIRTH SEX DESIGNATION is an attack on ANY cis woman who might be tall, hairy, deep voiced, have large hands, or was born with a primary trait DSD.

Many cis girls will sudden suffer elevated rates of androgens in puberty and life is already scary and stressful for tween and teen girls, so there is NO BENEFIT to their safety to have them run submit their heavily scrutinized bodies for medical review. Leave girls' bodies and privacy alone.

Furthermore, in a country where healthcare is not a right, not even for minor children, how do you suppose it's fair for poorer girls and their families already struggling to be forced to submit a bunch of their daughter's medical records when her birth certificate IS ALREADY ON FILE AT SCHOOL.
