Also, I'm a full believer that there's no such thing as a spoiler candidate. A candidate either wins a vote or doesn't. If the mere presence of another option loses a vote, then that's on the candidate and no one else.

Sadly, this is who Cornel West has been for years. If you're nice and cordial to him, no matter your ideology, he's on your side. The second you question him, the man's an absolute ghost.

I'd also add that West's 2024 run might be one of the most hilarious bad attempts to run for president. He started out as the nominee for the People's Party & made his announcement alongside alleged rapist and party founder Nick Brana. This came after accusations against Brana emerged.

Trans people are fighting to keep rights they had ten years ago—in 2016. It is not the same as fighting for rights in the first instance. So please I beg of you, knock it off with this “purity test” horseshit.

Sure seems to be a lot of people who view their self-curated mythology of being Resistance Heroes to be far more important than fighting for the civil rights of others. That's probably because one only involves shielding your ego at all costs and the other requires actual work.

If you're harassing and yelling at trans people because they won't vote for fascist bigots in the shade of blue you prefer, then congrats! You know exactly what you would have been in 1932 Germany. A coward.
