I made this meme a while ago and I think didn't post it because I didn't want anyone to think it was about their research specifically so anyway here's a meme that is not about anyone's research specifically

I spend a lot of time working from cafés in South Brooklyn and I can't emphasize enough that virtually every conversation I've overheard at a neighboring table in the past week has mentioned Nathan Fielder.

I think it's so interesting that Andy Warhol took the time to get involved in fast casual dining.

My code is mostly Python these days and then I export aggregate results for visualization specifically so that I can make my publication figures in ggplot. I had a math professor in undergrad whose secretary printed out his emails so he could reply by typewriter, I guess this is basically that.

I have changed my pfp for the first time in ten years, as you can imagine this is because that photo was ten years old. I'm sorry in advance to everyone who now has no clue who I am, but perhaps that's for the best!

I'm actually kind of shocked at how many of the top 20 here are my mutuals. Feels like I'm doing something right, or interacting with me is a mind virus.

It's several orders of magnitude worse than a modern HIV screening test, and we only use those in the context of a two-step screening-confirmatory testing process. That's my best attempt at contextualizing for an audience that doesn't live in Bayes world.

I just found out that Fandango tickets are fully refundable until showtime and I'm about to become even more powerful/annoying than I ever was before

I've received like ten emails encouraging me to start using ambient documentation in my outpatient clinic, which I do not have, proving that ambient AI is more technically feasible than maintaining an accurate email distribution list.

I love working in healthcare because while Terry Tao is speculating about using Lean to prove that novel chemotherapy works I am getting actual emails from my employer announcing that they've newly implemented upper and lower limits for vital sign entry to prevent errors.

my wrist buzzed and i was like ooh who’s texting me and it was my apple watch giving me a noise alert because i was blow drying my hair for too long
