People who don't put lids on pens or "de-click" pens after use should be banned from using pens for life. They should only be allowed to use crayons.

My British brain is glitching even harder than when they bend the London Underground Tube map through space and time to suit a film's narrative. Burghley House is not even close to looking like Windsor Castle! #TheDiplomat #Netflix

Gluten-free food is almost but not entirely unlike real people food now. 😋 15-20 years ago it was essentially only lumps of dense dwarf bread you could use to break a window.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die Sam Rockwell's performance was brilliant. However, it was a bit of a mess, and not in a good Primer or Backrooms weird-ass wibbly wobbly timey wimey storyline way. I thought the concept was cool and worth revisiting.

No weirder or more disturbing than increasingly flat-faced pug breeding. Humans are awful for cruel aesthetics in animals.

And here’s the trailer for BEING HEUMANN. In cinemas Nov 6, streaming on AppleTV Nov 13. I saw it last night at the London Film Festival & it’s a triumph.

Many years ago me and a friend came up with the Greggs scale to assess pastries. It goes goes from -5 to +5 and Greggs is zero because with Greggs you're getting exactly what you've paid for. Either side of that it's a +/- sliding scale of quality x price that's entirely subjective.

In the last 6-12 months there's been a pattern of headlines and social posts where verbs are dropped. It's across the board, so I'm wondering if AI LLMs have hit a tranche of historical social media text where we all used to say things like "accidentally all the cheese" and have assimilated it?

Some are suggesting you deliberately write inaccurate or confusing alt text, because they say this confuses AI scrapers that are analyzing images. The purpose of alt text is to help people who cannot see the image. Deliberately misrepresenting the image is a gross misuse of alt text. Don't do it.

Color contrast affects readability on the web and in print. It is especially important for users who are low vision or for users who are colorblind. Good color contrast means all users can see your content no matter the device they’re using or the lighting of their surroundings.
