The God of Bad Art gets offerings from all over the world, but in Their temple, They sometimes appear. "Why bad art?" I ask. "It is brave", the God replies. "To try and fail?" "No," the God chuckles. "Any creative work is a defiance of entropy, of Death itself. If you create, you do not fail."

A ghost monk, for @nibblekat.bsky.social . How could I pass up such a compelling prompt? #freesketchday

The bad news: I’m home sick The good news: FREE SKETCH DAY Comment with a character, pet, creature, or absurd scenario and I might sketch it for free! No rules, other than: no being offended if I don’t sketch your idea. #Freesketchday ends at 7 PM CST. Attaching some previous free sketches:

Me? I’m R! Awkward but well-meaning artist from Tennessee, USA. Character illustration and pet portraits are my main jam, but I dabble. Follow for art, pet pics, and weird aunt vibes.

Another of my favourite books of all time--Indrapramit Das's The Devourers! If you want a truly juicy, original, well-written werewolf (plus) story that doesn't shy away from the darker parts of human nature, check it out!: www.goodreads.com/book/show/27...

My first recommendation is Rivers Solomon's brilliant sci-fi, An Unkindness of Ghosts. It's one of my absolute favourite books and combines a plot that'll have you flipping the pages to see what happens with deep and difficult characters: www.goodreads.com/en/book/show...

Just a reminder to all the indie devs: You can just post a link to your game when you mention it. In fact, attaching a link and thumbnail beneath doesn't even add to the character count. This isn't Twitter. You won't be suffocated in your sleep by the algorithm here. There is no algorithm here.

EA's closure of BioWare is transparently a vile move to shutter the studio that made by far their queerest titles. In the wake of this, I implore you: MAKE MORE QUEER ART. Make it trans. Make it horny. Make it scary. Make it loving. Make it with every inch of yourself. Flood the world with it!
