This is exactly the wrong lesson to take. "Core Dems are furious that the party is failing, but don't worry, they'll probably come back." Taking voters for granted is exactly how we end up in this mess to begin with. And the longer voters feel ignored, the more of them won't come back.

My suspicion about the recent (gruesome) Dem favorability polls confirmed by @gelliottmorris.com - D numbers are being driven down by lower favorability *among Ds* right now. Those folks will overwhelmingly come home as elections draw closer. False panic. www.gelliottmorris.com/p/democratic...

There's no way this is just about "finances," given that they had plenty of finances to bribe Trump. A shame. Colbert is so funny and kind and generous, especially to writers.

Mosquitoes are a theme of concentration camp degradation and environmental torture, appearing repeatedly from the first accounts of camps in 1890s Cuba up through today. It's not by chance that Everglades detainees can't sleep due to mosquitoes and are subjected to them when they are wet and naked.

I have reached "back in my day" of people who've been in tech for *cough* years: "Whatever happened to regression testing? Rollback plans?!! If I released an update that lead to a multi day outage TWICE in a month's time, I'd not just be fired, I'd be excommunicated!" #alexa #sengled #homeautomation

And yes, massively a first world problem, it's just grinds me that a behemoth like #AmazonAlexa doesn't have to perform their job to the tech standard I've been held to my whole dang career. Too big to test is the motto of the tech giants.

ICE just arrested Brad Lander, the NYC Comptroller and one of the leading candidates for Mayor, without grounds. He was conducting routine immigration court work, escorting individuals from hearings. He asked ICE for their warrant - well within his legal rights. This is political intimidation.
