For the first time in more than a decade, Democrats have a shot at winning a trifecta and making real change. Voting rights. Fair maps. Union rights. All three are on the ballot this year.

NYT has now independently corroborated all the major allegations against Susan Collins in the ProPublica report, including that investigators were prepared to move against her and then Trump intervened to shut it down. This put Trump in a position of exceptional and extortionate leverage over her.

The most consequential achievement of an authoritarian leader is not initially convincing enormous numbers of people to embrace authoritarianism. It's convincing enough people that authoritarian behavior will no longer be punished.

We should have learned that you can’t manage a public health crisis by ignoring it. Politicizing science and weakening disease surveillance doesn’t make threats disappear, it only makes us less prepared to respond.

Masks, plain clothes, unmarked vehicles, rapid vehicle interceptions, weak body-camera coverage and categorical post-shooting narratives is architecture that increases civilian uncertainty while decreasing state accountability. That is backward from what a high-risk enforcement system needs

A deportation apparatus here. A militarized executive complex there Defense-tech integration elsewhere Private data firms threading through all of it Courts narrowed, Congress bypassed, oversight delayed. Then each future restraint or rollback is framed as reckless, anti-security, or anti-American

We should be asking- Can the public still meaningfully reverse the machinery through ordinary politics? When the answer becomes “technically yes, practically no,” you are in Orbán territory. When the answer becomes “no, and trying is dangerous,” you are in Putin territory.

China gave Trump just enough to let him sell a win domestically, but not enough to make it look like Xi had bent. That's a pretty sophisticated diplomatic move. It preserves China’s dignity, supports the optics of parity, and keeps US companies dependent on Chinese approval not US leverage.

As war-related inflation continues to surge, consumer confidence has hit a record all-time low. But corporate America is doing better than ever. This is what a two-tiered economy looks like.

Wage growth is slowing to levels not seen since 2021. Meanwhile, we just learned that Wall Street bonuses hit a record high last year. A tale of two economies. Is it any wonder so many people are fed up with the system?

Trump was warned this would happen. He did it anyway. Now, over 10,000 Veterans lost their homes. 90,000 more are on track for foreclosure. On top of cutting jobs, slashing benefits and throwing our heroes into an unnecessary war. The most anti-Veteran President in history.

A bill passed the Senate last night 100-0 to fund TSA, the Coast Guard and FEMA. If Speaker Johnson called it for a vote it would pass easily. But he won’t do that. Because Trump has ordered him to keep TSA shut down and keep the chaos. Pure incompetence.

👀Now that ICE/DHS are planning to buy ‘mega’ warehouse detention centers across the US to house human beings you might want to listen to this gentleman’s history lesson that he delivered at a city council meeting in AZ. Congress needs to have hearings on this like yesterday.

Heads are going to explode 💥 Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third. All that “immigrants are bleeding us dry” noise? Absolute bullshit. 1/3

happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.

Tyranny knows what it’s doing. Careless power just counts bodies and hopes courts clean up later.

Read this story and decide if this is the America you want to live in. ICE saw a Latino man driving a car. Chased him down and rammed him. Just because he wasn’t white. He was just a guy - an American citizen - driving to the auto shop.

US narrative went from truth → spin → kayfabe → fuckery. Not overnight. Truth constrained power. Spin managed trust. Kayfabe asked us to play along. Fuckery doesn’t ask. It speaks knowing you see through it... and proceeds anyway. That’s not theater. That’s post-persuasion power.

The nation-state built global capitalism. Capital outgrew it. Now capital is shedding the shell. Not by overthrowing it but by letting it rot while extracting what still works.

An inhaler costs $654 in the U.S. and $100 in Canada. Calling a price match a “654% discount” isn’t reform—it’s propaganda. The real drop is $554, an 85% discount. You can’t discount more than 100%. When math is twisted for applause, truth is what’s really deflated.
