I think the most important thing is that after all that has transpired this year, we're still standing. We're still here. If we continue to keep out heads on our shoulders and work smart, not just hard, we will continue to stand in 2026 and beyond.

I often have found it baffling how people proclaim the Switch 2's launch was bad while memory holing just how largely bland and forgettable the Wii U's launch was. Heck I actually got blocked by a guy simply because I questioned his belief that the 3DS launch was better than Switch 2.

I would argue Switch 2 is Nintendo at their most experimental since the GameCube era. On top of the fact we are getting major new installments in franchises Nintendo hasn't touched in years. We also shouldn't ignore how Switch 2's third party support absolutely demolishes Wii U's in every way.

You cannot tell me Nintendo has gotten more soulless since the Wii U era when said games from that era looked like this. Not to mention that bringing Iwata into these discussions has always been disrespectful.

Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is a fascinating design preposition in how Nintendo essentially sacrificed online functionality for almost unbridled freedom of creativity.

I think the biggest sign that Nintendo really is aiming to appeal more to fans of their competition while still very much keeping up their own image is the fact that there's no profanity filter in Tomodachi Life: Livin' the Dream.

It's amazing how Eric Bauza's passing brought us together as a community, to the point that I couldn't bring myself to groan at any voice actors we've lost respect for. For this week, there are no Zionists, Corporate Shills, nothing like that. Just people coming together to mourn a fallen friend.

Sonic Dream Team feels too good to remain trapped in Apple Arcade purgatory

VGAfanatic (RIP, Eric Bauza)@vgafanatic.bsky.social

Knowing how much Sega loves working with fan game devs, I would hope they'd collaborate with this user to port Dream Team to Steam and Consoles. Would Apple allow that, is the real question.

Two separate rants here: 1. I find it ironic that there are people who hate Nintendo games, only to find a way to port it on their consoles of choice instead. The Switch 2 is the cheapest machine on the market compared to everyone else. Is owning a weaker machine that much of a dent to their ego?

Second rant: I don't know why, but for some reason, I feel a little irritable and crabby; like something bad going to happen. Heaven forbid I jinx it. It's been like that since yesterday.

Travis Knight says that LAIKA will NEVER use generative AI in their films: “AI is theft. It’s the ingestion of years and years and years of human creativity and ingenuity, regurgitated back. It has no humanity. It has no spirit.”

I don't know which sucks worse, this, or the fact that grifters are going to have a field day with it.

These dumbass parents are the reason western animation will never reach its full potential.

Lazy Girl@averylazygirl.bsky.social

Parents need to start parenting and checking ratings on movies way before buying a ticket. Don’t blame producers and animators because you didn’t do research.😒
