Constitutional amendments needed:
- Supreme Court reform
- Pardon reform
- Campaign Finance reform
- executive power constraints
Would like to see Dems get aggressive on there issues. Other legislation:
-Expand the House
-Expand the Court
-Add DC and Puerto Rico
-Expire war power and tariff
So the Christian Nationalists want to stream a public execution. No longer care what kids see. Don’t care about violence on our screens. Just the final nail that their pearl clutching and morality screeds was all a fraud and these people just want a handmaids tale future. Disgusting.
Democrats should consider dusting off Senator Cardin’s Progressive Consumption Tax proposal. Republicans have really mangled our current tax code and trying to fix it will be difficult. Better to burn it down and start over
Let’s move the House of Representatives to somewhere centrally located, like Kansas. Increase the size of the body for better representation. Build housing for representatives to stay so they don’t have to maintain separate housing. And build high speed rail from each region to the new location.
Unearthed records reveal Ken Paxton spent over $1.9 million in taxpayer dollars to take 275+ out-of-state trips to places such as California wine country, Caribbean resorts, and luxury European destinations.
First defense related bill for Dems: project meridian and similar partnerships makes all participants unable to take part or advocate for defense contracts
What exactly is the point of electing Republicans if their only constituency is Donald Trump? What do they even stand for at this point? Trump has destroyed their party platform, belittled their history and past leaders, and is going to send many of them packing. Even Senators gave up agency. Crazy
It might help for Dems to point out that the $5000 check won’t even make up for the rise in costs that Trump’s policies will create. Groceries, health insurance, housing….all of it is going up.
Incredible. First Secretary Mullin claimed that DHS had identified 15,903 noncitizens on Nevada’s voter roll.
Then DHS officials told a skeptical Nevada, no no no, that’s just people we flagged. Here are the names of 185 people we KNOW aren’t citizens.
All 185 were citizens. DHS got 100% wrong.
From 16,000 to 185 to Zero: Trump’s Claims of Illegal Voting in Nevada Fizzle.
"The state sent a strongly worded rebuke to the federal government: Every single person on the list was a lawful citizen."
Seems pretty obvious that the timing of Trump’s latest media action is yet another attempt to turn around his poll numbers by ginning up a new fight against one of his bases enemies. It’s worked in the past so obviously he’s going back to the well.
The first executive order of the next president should be to rename all porta-potties “Trumps”. Since we are renaming things and he wants his name on everything, this seems fitting.
#uber has got to do something about increase in driver cancellations. It’s happening so often in SF that I’m losing all confidence in using them. Starting to feel like the old SF taxi situation. This morning as I asked the driver if I can put my bag in his trunk, he just drove off and cancelled. WTH
When party leaders forsake coalitions, they stay out of power. Embrace the Will Rogers quote “I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.”
"we welcome anyone who recognizes the danger Trump and his extremist MAGA agenda pose to hard-working Americans who can no longer afford basic goods because of his immoral and unnecessary war..."
come on man, 'take the question and pivot to an attack' is not that hard
Really hope the next generation of Dems are ready to laugh at the Republicans who try to blame Dems for everything the Trump admin tore down. Laugh, berate, and make the squirm. “Oh you want that data now? Didn’t seem to care when Trump disbanded that part of the agency. Pound sand”
I’m actually surprised by how angry the Blanche vote makes me. This is the type of thing we just never would have seen several years ago. Primaries are over and the sniveling cowards still voted for someone who is clearly unethical and unqualified. I hope this vote hurts them for a generation
Dems should completely ifnore the Trump IRS settlement and immediately start audits/investigationsbof his m and his family when back in power. You cannot make a settlement agreement with yourself.
Feel like the media is leaning too much into the progressive vs centrist narrative, when the reality seems to be fighters/change vs norms/old school. People are sick of the current Dem leaders who talk about writing letters and sit back waiting to be back in charge.
📌Susan Collins is voting "no" on the repulsive Blanche because she has been given political cover by Thune.
Her vote doesn't matter.
This isn't a heroic decision, it is pure politics, and whether anybody wants to admit it or not it's how she has survived like a parasite in that chamber for 30 years.
Why are Dems bad at making Republicans nervous about their votes? Instead they prefer letting republicans pass these things that they should be against and trying to use it to win elections. That’s not leadership. Every republican up for election in 2026 should be nervous about confirming Blanche
Starting to think all these posts about Dems not doing enough regarding exposing McConnell’s health are actually just Republican ops trying ti get Dems to attack each other. Mostly because it seems to be working. And it’s stupid.
Would assume everyone knows it by now, but just in case
"First the traitors, then the invaders" is an explicit reference to The Turner Diaries, where a white supremacist revolution overruns "The System" and kills all their enemy during the evocatively named "Day of the Rope".
Saw a 80s revival festival last night. “Totally Tubular”. It was fun, but finally got to see a band I was a bit too young to see when they last played live: Bow Wow Wow. They were phenomenal. Only four songs which was just not enough. Really hope to see Annabella out touring more!
Trump is doling out US taxpayer money to political groups in Europe and the UK that proclaim their alignment with MAGA. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
I’m captivated by all of the SheWeekend footage in Vegas. Perhaps Trump should try to be more like FlavorFlav. Inclusive. This is everything the 250 anniversary was not
So why do the statements made by leftists in very liberal areas impact the election chances of Dems in purple areas, BUT the insanity of crazy racist republicans in ultra red areas doesn’t impact elections in same purple areas? I never hear republicans as concerned with the rantings of their fringe
this little niche of Trump immigration policy is like a performance for the dream world alt reality of the MAGA universe. where the US is a kind of refuge for huddling masses seekers for freedom and democracy but fleeing great replacement in purported white homelands
"They will also receive a packet of literature that provides a sanitized, Trump-approved view of American and South African history, one that criticizes racial equity and civil rights laws and promotes claims of discrimination against white people."

Trump's DOJ has killed a criminal investigation into Trump's pardon of David Gentile, a private equity executive convicted in a $1.6 billion fraud scheme.
Gentile had discussed making payments of over $2.5 million to Trump allies to help facilitate the pardon.
Buttigieg: We sit in a in a country that's got the wrong number of people on the Supreme Court, possibly the wrong number of representatives in the House of Representatives. And by the way, when you consider the disenfranchisement of the people of DC, we have the wrong number of states in the US
It kinda feels like Dem leadership would rather let Trump do dumb stuff in order to improve their election chances rather than put the energy into stopping him.
We do need election reform. First on the list, you can’t lie to the public about election procedures or results. Felony. Second, you can’t institute processes that make it harder to vote. Three, real campaign finance reform with strong limits to contributions from those outside of your constituency
