I’m still so pissed off about capcom C&Ding ultimate frame data, for starters I’m like 99% sure this wouldn’t hold up in court anyway but if your goal is fewer people using a mod during gameplay removing hitbox resources makes people MORE LIKELY TO USE THAT MOD

And like I love modding I think modding is cool I come from classic unreal and half life modding games is in my blood but yes keeping a mod that reveals hidden information out of a live online game is a thing you would want to do. BUT PEOPLE NEED TO AT SOME POINT KNOW HOW THIS SHIT WORKS

In chess there is a tendency to conflate success with intelligence and in fighting games the same is said about reaction speed, I think both are untrue in similar ways. Both are games of study, of presenting options to your opponent that are bad for them, waiting for them to take one.
