🚨 Why does Hakeem Jeffries feel so weak and absent when democracy is under siege?
Why did Democrats pick a “nice but feckless” leader when we need a wartime general?
Let’s talk about what’s really going on — and who the Dems should be putting front and center. 🧵
I think she is being asked to implicate others (starting with Clinton) while somehow managing to avoid implicating Trump, including in Congressional testimony.
It's a bit dicey, but David Markus is a far better lawyer than Todd Blanche, and it's pretty clear he's the brains of the org.
There's an odd dynamic to the Maxwell situation. To actually exonerate Trump, she would have to say she was always with Epstein and knew everything he did (and Trump wasn't part of the abuse). But, that admission would make a pardon look much worse.
Ghislaine Maxwell's attorney, David Markus, is personal friends with Todd Blanche. Todd Blanche is Donald Trump's former criminal defense attorney and Deputy Attorney General. Blanche will be speaking to Maxwell, on Trump's behalf, in the next several days.
How do you say, "corruption" in American?
5. The Questions No One Wants Asked:
Where are Epstein’s tapes?
Who has the kompromat? CIA? Mossad?
Why is Ghislaine the only person jailed in a trafficking ring with no buyers?
3. A Judge’s Family Targeted:
Judge Esther Salas, who oversaw Deutsche Bank case (tied to Epstein’s finances):
Her son was murdered.
Her husband shot.
Shooter was found dead. Another “suicide.”
4. Still Alive… For Now?
Not Guiffre : dead by another "suicide".
Ghislaine Maxwell – in prison, suddenly chatty. Trump’s lawyer Todd Blanche visited her early.
The Clintons? subpoenaed.
👇
2. More Strange Deaths:
Steven Hoffenberg – Epstein associate, found decomposing.
Christopher Sign – broke Clinton–Lynch tarmac story – suicide.
Mark Middleton – Clinton aide, suicide by hanging + gunshot.
👇
1. Dangle pardon for Maxwell
2. Coerce her into implicating prominent political opponent(s)
3. Crank up exculpatory disinformation machine
4. Drop Fox lawsuit if they run the disinfo
5. Pardon Maxwell, prosecute straw man/men
Former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush deliver rare open criticism of the Trump administration — and singer Bono held back tears as he recited a poem — in an emotional video farewell on Monday with staffers of the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Data & Society’s Jacob Metcalf writes that whenever you hear someone advocating for acceleration, you should ask: accelerating toward what? Today’s techno-accelerationists aim to undo generations of slow, arduous progress toward social, political, and economic equality, he says.
I love how MAGA warps history, like how they never seem to recall the most prolific antisemite of all time was not Muslim, but a "German Christian," who would have fit in nicely with American Christian nationalism.
Some U.S. media (such as the Washington Post here) trace U.S.-Iranian animosity back to the 1979 Islamic Revolution, conveniently forgetting that the CIA helped overthrow a democratically elected Iranian government in 1953, forcing Iranians to endure decades of the Shah’s brutal rule.
Mahmoud Khalil, Palestinian student and academic, has been released after more than three months of being held in illegal detention.
Khalil was detained by ICE from his Columbia-owned housing in a politically motivated assault. 1/2

Trump declares war on cities
“We must expand efforts to detain & deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as LA, Chicago, & NY, where Millions of Illegal Aliens reside. These, & other Cities, are core of the Dem Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base”
"In its annihilative force and ambition, the Israeli campaign is unique among modern conflicts. In fact, the term 'war crime' is not even adequate for what's happening in Gaza."
A searing, essential piece by Suzy Hansen:
Alleging Israel has committed ‘war crimes’ suggests a recognizable event: that there is a war happening, and there are some crimes in it. Gaza is different.
For our latest cover story, Suzy Hansen examines how the war in Gaza has upended decades of humanitarian law: nymag.com/intelligence...
LET’S MAKE SURE THIS PATRIOT IS PROTECTED!!!
🚨DISTURBING: Airman Christian Stephens posted a video saying he’s not proud to serve under Trump and disapproves of ICE. Now it’s gone—replaced with a chilling message that he was forced into a psych hold, despite not being a threat. Please share.

Final thought:
The GOP has abandoned democracy.
If Democrats act like it’s politics-as-usual, they’re not being principled—they’re being played.
Let’s uplift the voices who are ready to fight like democracy depends on it—because it does. ✊

We don’t lack Democratic talent.
We lack the courage to promote fighters. We keep elevating “managers” in a time of moral emergency.
We need a war room, not a think tank.

10. Stacey Abrams (if she returns) — Strategic genius. Built GA’s voting machine. Deserves another chapter.

Dems often think: “If we act normal, people will see we’re the adults.”
But normal won’t save us. It just normalizes the chaos.
We need leadership that calls fascism by name—and fights
So if Jeffries won’t fill that role… who will?
Here are 10 bold Democrats who have the fire, clarity, and moral courage to lead the fight for democracy. Some are rising stars. Some are ready right now.
Let’s go 🔽

Jeffries was handpicked by Pelosi & party brass to be a safe, low-drama manager — not a fighter.
He’s calm, smart, and steady. But calm & steady doesn’t cut it when the other side is trying to end democracy.
We need boldness, not balance.
Jeffries avoids drama. But MAGA is drama.
He talks like it's 2015: “rule of law,” “governing responsibly,” etc. Meanwhile Trumpists are threatening civil war, jailing enemies, and attacking elections.
It’s a mismatch of tone vs reality.
Can't believe that this unknown rapper is the only concert for Gaza or f US democracy or anti fascism or USAID dying kids ! We need 10 times Live AID concerts every week end against all this fascist virus. Time to show your guts ! What's the point in being rich if you stay silent and scared.
This is an ominous step toward martial law. The time for mobilizing peacefully but massively against this dangerous progression is NOW.

Must read : this is exactly way is at stake. Trump must be impeached and the tech bros put under strict control and laws voted to INCREASE taxes on billionaires
Why are Trump and certain tech billionaires trying to build new dystopian cities and democracy-free "zones"?
It reflects a scary tech idea called "The Network State."
For @techpolicypress.bsky.social, I wrote about why you should be deeply concerned 👇

wow -- @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com chokes up while talking about how the Trump administration is killing kids who relied on USAID to get life-saving medicine
This is a con job all the time. With uncertainty on tariffs and rule of law I can safely predict Fall in foreign investments in the US. I mean promises and deals with Trump are so easy to break, and rich fascists around the world apart from Arabs are not many.
--> DOGE had no direct authority. The real decisions came from the agency heads appointed by Trump, who were wise to let DOGE act as the fall guy for unpopular decisions
That was the point for Trump. For Musk, DOGE was a cover to destroy investigations into his businesses, saving over $2.3 billion.
Elon Musk claims he's leaving the Trump administration. So what is *actually* going on with DOGE now?
WIRED spoke to a fired DOGE staffer about who was really in charge, using Signal for communications 🫠, and what he thinks will happen next.

As Americans, we're constantly flooded with propaganda telling us that punishment is the only solution to society’s problems. This mindset is baked into our culture—fed to us by media giants who profit from keeping us fearful, passive, and numb.
We have to unlearn it. We have to resist it.
