When it really comes to it… AuDHD is basically an inability to control nor trust your own mind. Ye, it sucks a lot.

I am so jelly of people who can sleep 8 hours a night and feel well rested. I need at least 10 to be at least somewhat functional.

This entire article is one really bad and disgusting joke. I used to be extremely active, and had really healthy lifestyle. All of that crumbled right in front of my eyes, unexpectedly and fast.

Unless you die instantly in an accident you WILL become disabled at some point in your lifetime. Everything you can do now is temporary. It’s as inevitable as death, and just like it you don’t get to pick when or how.

UK, go home, u r drunk.

okay so just checking in on the UK media. learning lots. being trans isn’t real. ADHD isn’t real. being disabled isn’t real. but what is real is Harry Potter

Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

I really really really like NixOS. Such a cool distro. I was looking for something similar for ages as I often use a lot of machines for my work and keeping them manually "in sync" regarding packages, settings, and overall setup was always a nightmare. 1/3

Same can be said about my recent activities when I decided I will help schools and other (in our country heavily underfunded) institutions to migrate to linux (to save money on windows licenses and HW upgrades so their computer labs full of old non-TPM 2.0 machines can still work). 2/3

Having all systems identical, ability to change all of them in any way from a single system etc is such a huge time saver. Mass deployment and management is a breeze now.

Just a hint how f-up job market really is. It took a year and 2725 applications. 2725 Jobs > 26 1st int. > 12 2nd int. > 6 3rd int. > 1 offer. I am a person with 10+ years of experience in across design, IT dev. and management. I worked for the biggest players. I have ONLY positive references.

Is Steam Machine expensive? Yes. Is it overpriced? No. Can you built a better PC by yourself? Depends. If you want new parts then the answer is no. If you can find some good deals on used HW then yes.

using AI at any stage of game development is loser shit but the excuse of "oh we only used it during the concept art stage" is always insane to me. concept art is literally the fun part. you asked the robot to do the fun part for you. do you also need the robot to eat dessert for you

Could there be a better example of "the trans debate" than 98% of women supporting trans people and then one single lone person voting against them and getting their way regardless. It's all such a fucking sham

TACC@tacc.org.uk

"Forty-nine votes were cast against the new rules, whilst only one vote was cast in their favour", yet still they went ahead with the ban. Clearly, women's opinions do not count!

Yesterday I was buying some frozen french fries. I was not able to find them for like 5 minutes. Why? Instead of a package with a picture of fries on them there was a picture of AI generated Ghibli family with a piss filter on the entire package with no mention of what is actually inside the bag.

Linux DEs and me do far: Gnome: Love the looks, hate lacking feature set and customisation KDE: Love the feature set and customisation, hate default looks and stability Hyprland and Niri: Cool but totally unfit for my workflow, unstable AF Cinnamon: Looks awful, love the stability The rest: No.

I am surprised. I tried @kdenlive.bsky.social as a hardcore Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve user. KdenLive is amazing. I found it to be super feature rich and even better than Premiere Pro. Still missing many DaVinci things but that is kinda expected. The only downside is super slow GPU export.

One thing I love about Linux is how calm the experience is. You don’t have to constantly fight your OS, you are not bombarded by notifications, updates, sales BS, nor forced to get rid of software you never asked for. You just turn on your computer and you do stuff you want to do. It’s that easy.

I switched to Linux about a year ago. So far there was only a single instance where I needed to boot into windows again. In a year. Due to nvidia driver bug that is fixed for a long time now. I will probably nuke my Windows install and reuse the drive it is installed on for something more useful.

I mean… did Meta even released anything “Metaverse” related? I mean, there is Horizons but I always saw it as an alpha version of some vision or concept more than anything else. Definitely not a finished product, not even remotely close to anything more than a beta really. It was horrendous.

I think that the biggest issue with adopting Linux is the lack of pro software. Yes, alternatives exists BUT people do not want alternatives. They don’t want to learn DaVinci or Kden when they created their entire workflow in Premiere. Same with any software really. ->

Bottles won’t solve anything either due to how buggy they are and the fact that creative software without GPU acceleration is literally unusable. I see only two possible solutions. FOSS that will closely mimic other tools both feature and UI wise OR these tools being released as native for Linux.

Any kind of SA, especially towards children should be punished by cutting off attacker’s genitalia. By a hot, extremely blunt knife and without anaesthesia. No. I don’t think I am too drastic.

I love fairphone and framework. We need more companies who can dedicate their entire business to making easily repairable and customer friendly tech that you actually own and can do whatever you please with it (regarding both, HW and SW).

I mean. I decided to leave twottah half a year ago and It is nice to open a social media app without being bombarded by morons, bigots and nazis, and their shitty opinions. Win in my books.
