TikTok removed our factual video about $XXQQ and $XXSP. These ETFs exclude Elon Musk’s companies, which is somehow “political,” just like @alexgibneyfilm.bsky.social documentary. That’s how threatened oligarchs are by people uniting to defund them. Leave Twitter. Leave Elon out of your investments.

I’ve been working on this a long time. Alex has been wonderful helping us think through how to divest in Musk properties. I want Musk out of my retirement fund, 401k and portfolio**. (**if I had one.)

This morning, the D&D team and Magic's Studio X informed our leadership of our intent to unionize. We love the games we make and the work we do, and unionizing is how we protect that work. unitedwizardsofthecoast.com/news/dnd-stu...

Because you were so kind, an update: after incorporating physical activity before bed, she has been going to sleep well but refusing to stay asleep. Which means my quiet, personal time is about 45 minutes long but jfc it’s something. She sleeps like a dream in my bed. I do not.

I am really fucking frayed around the edges. I don’t really know where to go with this, but I need to put it somewhere or else I am going to break. Three weeks ago, my well-adjusted 2.5 year old decided that she would violently resist sleep. And by violently, I mean it.

A24 you are better than this. Who cut this?!?

The full trailer for You Can See Everything is out today. And my first thought is that it should be required that Nathan Fielder film for 48 hrs at every tech CEO’s home.

This is why we need to stand up for trans rights THIS RIGHT HERE

A post that’s so eye-opening because this is exactly what liberals will say is GOP distraction tactics, almost as a parody— and here it really is what Gaetz is saying unironically as his GOP message.

Xochi was the drag queen Alex Jones lost his shit over because she read to kids. So, we decided to put her on InfoWars.

Drag queen Xochi Mochi has an urgent message for all InfoWarriors. Ignore at your own risk.

Update: she is exhausted. She fell asleep holding my hand but the second I got up hysterics started, and she threw everything out of her bed. We are down again, but she’s been waking up every hour or so and is apopletic if I’m not there.

MADE IT OUT. Countdown begins to wake up. I feel like that Battlestar Galactica episode 33:33 where they only have 33 minutes to do anything before cylons show up

I talked to her about converting her crib into a bed, but she oddly declined. She sounds like she wants a whole new bed but I cannot imagine the issue is the crib. She screamed in my ear on Thursday and now I have a wicked earache and am gonna go to urgent care tomorrow.

I really don’t think she is hitting REM. I am gonna quietly get up and see if I can make it out. Before this, she was never a light sleeper…I used her bathroom to shower bc it is nicer. Cats would come in, scream, leave…she wouldn’t stir.

I think there is the introduction of real fear and I get why “little kid seeing things” is a legit horror trope because she keeps talking about the ghosts that keep her up, which I think are just thoughts? Or ghosts. Which would make this a whole new issue.

The problem isn’t the lack of sleep, it’s the lack of time for myself to, say, shower or eat or pee or all three at once. I took her to the doctor who was like, “she is healthy and I don’t have a magic wand” and then I googled “melatonin for babies” before hating myself.

Anyway, you people are all so nice and hearing your stories makes me feel less alone. So, thank you. And now I am too tired to finish this with any sort of poignant takeaway.

It all comes from me working too much and long hours, etc. along with additional “co-parent” context no one needs to hear but I am so totally empty, her terrible, awful cries are just becoming static. I saw the Jessica Chastain “Other Mommy” trailer and was like, “lucky bitch.”

Anyway, I just need to put this here so I get it off of me bc I don’t have a lot of parent friends so it just sounds like grumpy naptime. I know other parents go through this but I am doing it solo while, like, selling people hogwater (!!) and trying to run our agency and I am on the fucking edge

While this happens, she just bloody screams. She gets tired, but she doesn’t give up. She literally fell asleep lifting herself out of the bed last night. My day is: wake up, child to daycare, work, get child home, fight for 3 hours, sleep for 20-30, fight for 2 more, sleep until 2 am, repeat.

She eventually comes in my bed, I give up, and she just kicks and thrashes until my alarm goes off. This weekend we have a big activation in Chicago, and I am so tired. The last few nights I just sob in front of her because I don’t have any other response.

I am a single parent who is the CMO of functionally two companies, though one is much more nascent than the other. I take her to daycare, work, come home and spend time with her and once she is in bed, I need to decompress and rest. I don’t think I have entered REM sleep so far in September.

She gets so mad she smashes herself into the crib enough times she has now figured out how to get out. So she escapes, I pick her up, and put her back. She realizes I respond quickly when she falls so she starts jumping. My recourse is to pick her up and put her back. 100s and 100s of times.

She would throw herself against her crib, whip things at anyone approaching her, and she didn’t cry, she raw throat screamed. With fury. So much so she has started to give herself bloody noses. The only way she sleeps is in my room with me and that’s after some wrestling and I am losing my shit.

BREAKING NEWS: Hogwater is for sale RIGHT NOW. You can get vaccines, Tylenol, and condoms at a CVS, but you can't get Hogwater. That's because you can only get it at Marz Brewing and live at Riot Fest tomorrow. Let's face it: You need Hogwater.

I feel moreso than any current celebrity in modern history (or maybe history, period?), people have real, meaningful grief for Dolly Parton. A saint for the fabulous and the kind and the weirdos. And the fabulous, kind weirdos.

It's times like this I miss New York: Catching the eye of someone listening to music on their headphones with tears in their eyes and just feeling communion.

We are so, so fortunate to live in the world Dolly touched - to have benefited from so much magnificent music and activism and acting and philanthropy and liberation and JOY. I'm very sad right now but mostly profoundly grateful.
