Just some bloke. He/him. These are my opinions, not those of my employer. I manage people who write code.

So does Netanyahu go to court for being massively corrupt now ? Or does he still avoid any judicial overview for being, y'know, massively corrupt ? And a genocidal war criminal (obvs), although nobody seems to care enough about that...

Urgh. Doorman at the night out (cool DJ) was on my door for the summer festival. I'm very single. My friends laugh or sympathise when I point out that the coolest and most attractive people in the room are my friends. Then cuddle their partners. Who are my friends. Hopefully I get given drugs. FML.

I think I need to write a book about "Shit Ghosts". I used to live near an 18th Century brewery where the ghost was "a big black cat that appeared from nowhere and vanished" in their offices in the attic... /1

Just found out that the 13th Century chapel in my current hometown (now a bar) has a presence which manifests by "unexpectedly opening a fridge"... I... um... there are very wonky floors... and... seriously *that is not a ghost!*. Just - fix the fucking fridge before invoking supernatural entities?

Stop telling women what to do. Stop telling us to do all of the work. Stop acting like you know more about our struggle than we do. Stand up for your fellow human being without any reward because that’s what we’re supposed to do. Ffs.

Due to randomly eavesdropping a conversation I gave a very strong opinion that "Hippopotamus" by Stephen Fry is the best book to have next to the loo. Literally had to chase the (massive tattooed bloke) down the road to tell him "Hippopotamus" is a great novel, but I meant "Paperweight" for the bog.

The most awful thing about Elon Musk is that he just sticks up one-word agreements to the most horrible things. On his social media platform. So nobody gets to say "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU ?" /1

And there's a part of me that thinks, *if you let people actually have conversations with you* - you'd be far more HUMAN. Because this is a cognitively atrophied fucking weirdo. His depraved fantasies are consuming him. And that's an *awful* thing to happen to a person. /4

Because if there was *anyone* in his life who loved him or cared about him, they'd give him a big slap and tell him to stop being a cunt. And that would help. But, y'know, he still thinks he's cleverer than the 99% of humans who realise he's just hurting himself. By being a cunt.

Because whatever his idea of a "Free Speech" platform, nobody ever gets to say - "You are a weird, miserable bastard who hates everybody and everything.". And all the people he insults, or threatens, or dismisses... /2

Have no ability to ask basic questions like "Could you not just take a walk in a forest ? Knit a fucking jumper ? Have actual *friends* ? Or *anyone* you actually care about in life ?" Because he's obviously insane. And very sad and angry. And he doesn't let anyone point that out to him... /3

“The trouble with you, Spode, is that just because you have succeeded in inducing a handful of half-wits to disfigure the London scene by going about in black shorts, you think you’re someone. You hear them shouting “Heil, Spode!” and you imagine it is the Voice of the People.” Bertie Wooster

Nobody will see or care about this post. But it needs to be said. Anything Mr Donald Trump says is utter rubbish. He's a senile old man nesting in a safe space full of godawful gilded bollocks. He's weird, bit of a pervert, utterly corrupt and generally doesn't even know where he is. /1

The world is on fire. Very rich people are being vicious about the rights of others - whilst having no actual idea of what life is about. Leadership is about helping others achieve, about helping others do the useful jobs we need. Painting things gold while dribbling at women at work is not useful.

It's nice that the prettiest, and loveliest, woman in my little seaside town bought me brunch today. And the hours of laughter were much needed. But, after the goodbye hug, I felt awfully single and alone. Oh well. "Illegitimi non carborundum" and all that, eh?

Maudlin moment passed. I realised I was mainly annoyed at being currently single because I was frustrated putting my eye-brow piercing back in after the little ball fell off. Forward to the future!

So my little seaside town had a festival on today (all week actually). It celebrates hundreds of years of British culture, dance and music. Town round the corner had a huge Pride carnival, processions, music, they've a lovely beach too. /1

And I should sleep. But it's so tempting to just sit here watching the local Facebook and commenting "If you didn't like the costumes in Pride - lucky you didn't go to the beach! You'd have hated that", "You should have gone to the facist festival in the car-park", /5

"OOH *we* were celebrating British Culture too!, should have got the bus round the corner, we sang and danced by the beach - how was shouting crap at the back of Primark ? Did it make you happy ?" Twats. /fin x

*AND* if neither of those things was what you wanted to do, by the seaside, in summer. The carpark near the giant shopping centre between the two towns had a "hating immigrants and believing crap about a council application" march - lots of flags, shouting, hatred. That kinda stuff. /2

We got the band out by midnight. Tomorrow, I sort out a problem with a key, manage the team putting on the family ceilidh, and a workshop for belly-dancing and morris dancing. Then a night of folk-rock sea shanties... /4

Due to a complex set of interacting circumstances; I (an old goth bloke) am going to bicycle to a pub in my little party town by the seaside in order to aggressively practice the crocheting my mate taught me last weekend. And find out who the hell goes to a "Love Island Finale" watch party... /1

Anyway, I accidentally learned to crochet. At my mate's festival last weekend. So going to annoy the tech bros if I have to commute... bugger off, it's the crafting table...

Things I realised I didn't know. US terms: Yarn = Wool Category 4 = Absolutely no fucking idea. "Worsted weight" ? I just. Nah. Meaningless. Hook G = ah, it's a 4mm hook in sensible world. Also /3

Also, I learned that if the nice lady in the wool shop is unexpectedly confronted by a baffled Goth; after ascending stairs from a workshop of happy old people; she does a really scary "suspicious face" before sympathetically showing me to the right shelf...

I really like Madison Beer's music videos. I'm absolutely the wrong demographic, but bloody hell - they are lovely theatre. "Reckless", "Make you mine" - loads of 'em. Beautiful expressions of thoughts. Well done to all involved.

Has anyone else noticed that the ZX81 manual casually introduces arrays, FOR-NEXT loops, and conditional branching within the first 30 pages, as though teaching structured programming to nine-year-olds is a perfectly normal thing to do on a Tuesday? Because it worked. And nobody has apologised.

I use a payment ring as my cash card. This is unusual in my little seaside town. Today's conversation at the pub. Me: "apparently the guy at [different pub] calls me 'Frodo" Barmaid: "haha, we call you Gollum". Bah!

The worst thing about being single, is not wanting to bother my many friends when I feel down. They're busy. I hate feeling like a needy sadsack if I ever kinda need to talk about my feelings. In other news, the cutest little fox-cub now seems to live on my road. Maybe he'll listen to me moan...
