When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

I think artists and sex workers should have a natural allyship. Both of us are often told we should not be allowed to charge for our work if it is at all pleasurable. Both of us are wanted for what we can do, but our work is considered not worth paying for. We should stick together

Obviously meant a lot to me for there to be an Asian Bugs Bunny. Really sad about the news and appreciate Eric Bauza being such a positive force in animation

"You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful... I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

⚔️ COVER REVEAL ⚔️ We’re thrilled to share the cover of Four Bastards and a Baby, exclusively revealed by People! Out on August 10, 2027 and 10 October 2027 from Tor UK Art by Carson Lowmiller Art Direction by Christine Foltzer

More than anything, 46 is way too young to go. But this guy was seriously the greatest Looney Tunes VA since Mel. He nailed those line deliveries better than anyone else in modern iterations of those characters. Not to mention he lobbied for actors and VAs. Bauza, you'll be missed.

Finally checking Duel off my list of things to watch. I'm finding myself more and more attracted to the popular filming techniques of the 1970's, especially for thriller and horror movies. Movies like this and the first Texas Chainsaw.

There's also a huge level of appreciation to older movies like this where you REALLY begin to notice how dangerous it was back in the day before cellphones were commonly owned by the average person. Reminds me of the Suspense radio episode "Sorry, Wrong Number."

it doesn't need to be gritty or live action. It should be hand drawn by artists that are getting paid massive bank to animate it

Yamino@yamino.bsky.social

Okay hear me out: gritty live action remake of Captain Planet where he gives 5 teenagers superpowers to violently obliterate CEOs and politicians who destroy the environment for border walls and data centers. They have elemental powers except "Heart" kid who makes them explode from the inside

PEAK is finally out on CONSOLES‼️ You can now play with fellow scouts using CROSSPLAY on: PlayStation 5 XBOX Series X|S Nintendo Switch 2 PC GOOD LUCK SCOUTS 🫡

Ever since the update, Timberborn has taken over my life. Like, good lord, I don't even normally play city builders and this is the first one that managed to hook me. I can't wait to see what else they add!

Currently I've got seven districts on my map and half of it colonized. I'm giving myself a goal, sealing off all the badwater sources and colonizing the whole thing means victory.

At the last AirBNB I stayed at, they required guests to take trash bags to a specific dropoff that was several blocks away. I HAD TO DRIVE MY KITCHEN TRASH TO A DUMPSTER AT AN AIRBNB. Yeah, this was a long time coming, I'm only mad it didn't happen sooner.

Airbnb is banning its hosts from making guests do things like “stripping the bed, taking trash offsite, or washing and putting away dishes.” The hosts....are not taking it well: www.wired.com/story/airbnb...

FWIW I'm fine with cleaning up after myself and doing my own dishes. But if you're going to be asking that shit, as a host the least you can do is make it easy for guests. Leave easy-to-access outdoor cans on the property, provide plenty of dish soap and detergent, things like that.

It crosses the line when you're demanding people do half the work the cleaning staff are going to do anyway just so you can skip out on having to get a professional cleaner as YOUR contract with AirBNB demands. Otherwise yeah, why the hell am I paying for cleaning fees?

Trump has forever proven that if you move faster than the courts all the courts can do is shrug and write catty comments in dissents Progressive future presidents should learn

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

New in PN: Trump bulldozes a golf course & the rule of law "This is about whether the courts can constrain this POTUS for the next 2 years, or whether he'll be permitted to simply bulldoze the rule of law en route to bulldozing a public park & turning it into a walled garden for his own amusement."
