For all the TRUMP = STRONG propaganda this is *exactly* what his “leadership” was like in Covid. Constant zigging and zagging, self-contradictory, incapable of commitment, wanting to have it both ways. It was a disaster!

In my lifetime I don’t think anything has made me want to give up on this broken country like the mass shared delusion about something that happened just a few years ago. So many brains are just completely gone and they’re not coming back.

Here's the thing no team or ESPN pundit ever seems to understand. Grouping high volume scorers together is a diminishing returns type of thing. LeBron last year: 15 attempts per game. Jaylen Brown 22. Maxey 21. Embiid 18. Edgecombe 14. Add it all up, 90 attempts. 1/

So adding LeBron could enhance their offense IF they find a way to mesh (a big if), but they're still a team with the kind of serious weaknesses defensively that tend to send teams packing before the conference finals. 4/

Only way I could see it working is if LeBron decides he's going to transform himself into a defense and rebounding focused power forward in his final year. I wouldn't put it past him but we're not talking great probabilities here!

Philly averaged 90 attempts per game. But there are at least 3 other bench players that will probably take some shots, so these guys are going to have to sacrifice. Do they have the capability to play off ball effectively? How high is that going to raise their shooting percentages? 2/

Best case scenario let's say it increases their ppg another 7 points (bringing them up to league leading Denver). They'd be relying on Embiid and LeBron to defend the interior. It doesn't seem like LeBron has much left in the tank in that regard and it's pretty clear Embiid doesn't. 3/

Oakaak? Fare thee well, sweet Moussa.

The Dallas Mavericks have matched the New York Knicks' two-year, $4.7 million offer sheet on restricted free agent Moussa Cisse, Yann Balikouzou and Kevin Bradbury of LIFT Sports Management tell ESPN. The 6-foot-11 center signed the Knicks sheet earlier Saturday but Dallas matches well before

I guess that means those vehicles are up for grabs!

July 12, 2026 Chelsea, NYC Pier 40's lease for ICE vehicle parking expired in June and was not supposed to be renewed, yet ICE vehicles are still there. We documented them in the garage. We demand an end to ICE parking in our sanctuary city and reject our neighborhood being used for ICE operations.

Dear Internet: I've completed my driver safety course and resolved my ticket within the allowed 90 days. You can stop advertising driver safety courses to me now. K thx

At Knicks summer league, I’ll be keeping my eye on C Liam Robbins. If the Knicks keep him and give him #23, I can cover the “ON” on my Mitch jersey and squeeze in an extra ‘B’

“The Knicks were winning the game. They were winning the championship.” for the grand finale of ‘exits’, @matthewmiranda.bsky.social writes about getting over the feeling that “blue skies are red flags”, and a team that made it to the top in spite of and in service to their flaws

basketballfeelings.comExits: No time for distanceThe Knicks pulled the NBA universe in with their improbability, then proved a truth they knew all along: certainty and doubt are two sides of the same coin.

I'm so grateful that Mitch Robinson didn't get traded last offseason or at the deadline, and that he remained with the team this year to help us win the championship and got to experience that.

What wins is not a specific policy alignment, but a cogent argument that sounds like it was formulated by a real person. Even Trump voters can come around to progressive positions with the right conversation. Talarico is communciating with these people - not making fun of them to friendly crowds.

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

This is striking. New NYT poll, which shows Texas Senate race tied, also finds: *More see Paxton as "extreme" candidate *Talarico winning 9% of Trump voters *Talarico +32 with Latinos This is doable, and there's a lesson here about liberalism and MAGA. New from me: newrepublic.com/article/2125...

You really want to keep Mitch and avoid the second apron for 3 out of the next 5 years? Trade Mikal Bridges to the Bulls for a small salary, re-sign Mitch and Landry and maybe offer Deuce an extension.

Man if you had told me in 1999 that freaking RICK BRUNSON would be carrying the Larry O'Brien trophy down the canyon of heroes.....

I know the Knicks won 53 games and it's been 53 years since the 73 championship, and Holzman won 613 games and the Knicks won on 6/13. But the weirdest things about the Knicks are 1/

They had a player named Relondo Blackman, and a player named Renaldo Balkman. They had a player named Carmelo Anthony, and a player named Cleanthony Early. And a player named Karl-Anthony Towns.

This is the kind of situation the secret service would never let a President walk into in any previous administration. 20K fans, majority hostile. Enclosed space. Crowded urban grid. It’s truly nuts
