A lot of people seem confused because AI both lowers the floor AND raises the ceiling. They se slop and assume thats all that's possible. But special is possible but takes effort! Don't listen to people who cannot imagine using a powerful tool to do anything but put minimal effort in.

So much wisdom in the gardens

You can't rush the unfolding. Your life, like the garden, reveals itself one quiet bloom at a time. #regenerativegardening #organicgardening #soilhealth

"Traditional indigenous societies, which have participatory forms of being and consciousness, and do not yet distinguish between the sacred and the profane, may be said to have a common-centric form of life, in which most natural and human-produced resources are shared as commons..."

🏹THE BURIED SHŌGUN🪦 In 793, shortly before the capital was officially moved to Heian-kyō (Kyōto), the image of a clay warrior was buried on the summit of Kachō-zan (華頂山). Each time the city is threatened, the shōgun awakes from his eternal sleep to warn the people. #folklore

The protocol is a forest, because it can be wild and dangerous. There are cute creatures and predators. There is beauty and harmony, yet many beings are still driven by their instincts. Stay aware of this.

Writing from @anisota.net where the social protocol feels like a magical forest... #atproto

Récemment nous avons fait notre petit cinéma d'extérieur avec des amies. Plaisir de la projection avec les étoiles au dessus de nos têtes, entourés par les sons des animaux de la nuit.

Atmosphere update: atproto apps are growing 20% month over month, and last week we passed 1,000 daily active apps.

Intelligence, wisdom, and compassion do, in fact, develop. The apparent setbacks are logical and temporary.

i challenge you to post one optimistic take or belief today on bluesky this needn’t be toxic positivity, just good ol’ run of the mill optimism/hope in the face of a torrential downpour of doom

I have been experimenting with many nuances of purple. This is a plot twist.

Massimo (mirror)@rainmaker1973-m.bsky.social

Purple is purely a mental construct of the human brain. We invented the color because of a lack of a sensor signal. Original post

"exhibiting negative behaviours, such as violence, against artificial entities can normalise and perpetuate these behaviours in interactions between humans (Chrisley, 2020)."

1/5 The topic of AI consciousness is sparking growing inquiry. But are we focusing on the problems we can actually solve? I explore this in my new paper: "AI and Consciousness: Shifting Focus Towards Tractable Questions." 📃

Portability of the social graph is the way. It will be one day considered as a legal right in most countries.

Jason Lengstorf@jason.energy

I was thinking about atproto more and had a thought: no one needs to know or care about the protocol. we just need to normalize the idea that it’s bonkers to allow any company to own part of your identity it’s like how you used to lose your phone number if you switched carriers. that sucked

Open this photo up and look for the small, white dot just left of centre. It looks like Venus, shining brightly in the twilight sky. But it's us. It's Earth. From Mars.

Interesting : "a recent study from economist Nicholas Stern of the London School of Economics projecting that #AI applications aimed at efficiency and waste elimination could drive global emissions down by 6% to 9% per year starting next decade." techcrunch.com/2026/09/16/a...

techcrunch.comAl Gore says the real AI risk isn't data centers | TechCrunchIn an interview with TechCrunch, Al Gore suggested he isn't losing sleep over AI data center emissions — he's more worried about the AI industry's own warnings about where the technology is headed.

My core feeling is that #AI will augment whatever direction it is used to. People shouldn't let techlords capture the tools and their imaginations.

Okay so I've built a new Atlas, this time it lets you explore the conversations on Bluesky over the past 7 days graphically. It should update every ~6 hours and help you navigate the information environment that exists on here. I've learned a LOT about what people do here today... atlas.jazco.dev
