I like tiddlywiki cause it has a high ceiling in terms of customization but it also doesn't really require much technical experience to have a functional and nice site. Also it sounds funny teehee x3

I would like to once again cordially tap the sign: please support billionaire free, worker-led and/or independent news how and when you can. Marisa's work here is the kind of reporting we want on the regular, about everything of public concern

Huge follow-up reporting to my scoop: The Guardian confirmed America Next—the conservative nonprofit founded by Bobby Jindal that was offering students $ to disrupt El-Sayed events—paid a firm registered to Tommy Teepell’s dad Timmy $250k for “canvassing and influencer marketing” against El-Sayed.

How many other composers are hosting their own webstore and provide a comprehensive wiki of their œuvre ?

thesecretscreening.comCursed Objects We Cherish****BEGOTTEN**** (1989, dir. E. Elias Merhige) Circulating for decades as an undecipherably murky bootleg of outsized reputation, E. Elias Merhige’s experimental 1989 landmark **_Begotten_** has no dialogue or recognizable psychologies (credited characters include "God Killing Himself" and "Son of Earth – Flesh on Bone"), but possesses a violently abstract beauty to slice open your third eye. Shot on B&W 16mm, each frame then rephotographed through neutral-density filters (a meticulous four-year process), this squirmy, fleshy, loamy creation myth has a nebulous grain that moves like weather, thickening the dark and tearing open the light. The wonderful new 4K restoration's images are clearer and therefore more unsettling, an avant-masterpiece for the witching season. 📽️ _****Begotten****_ (Kino Lorber) is now playing in NYC at the IFC Center. For more cities and dates, click here. * * * ****THE LAST FIRST: WINTER K2**** (dir. Amir Bar-Lev) Doc filmmaker Amir Bar-Lev's career examines the stories people tell themselves to justify their actions. _The Tillman Story_ dismantled a military myth, _Happy Valley_ probed a community protecting a monster, and _Long Strange Trip_ found a jam band's spiritual hunger. With **_The Last First: Winter K2_** , he turns to the last unconquered prize in mountaineering: the first snowy-season ascent of K2. In 2021, dozens of climbers converged on the world's second-highest peak, including an ill-advised commercial expedition. Bar-Lev's archival team assembled a portrait from the inside (GoPros, drones, iPhones) that rejects the genre's heroic gloss. It's a gripping existentialist parable about unchecked self-regard, tragic hubris, and a racial reckoning at 28,000 feet. 🎤 _****The Last First: Winter K2****_ (Apple Original Films) is now streaming you-know-where, and opens today in select theaters. ****LEENALCHI:**** "Ultimate Prescription" (from ****"SUGUNGGA"****) Led by composer-bassist Jang Young-gyu, who scored _Train to Busan_ and _The Wailing_ (both screening in Metrograph's new series dedicated to him), Seoul seven-piece **LEENALCHI** features four pansori-trained vocalists, two electric bassists, drums, synths, and zero guitar. Finally available here after its 2020 South Korean release, the immediate psych-riff grooviness of **"SUGUNGGA"** hits in the guttural deliveries of four vocalists trading lines and characters (about a Dragon King who sends a turtle to find a rabbit's liver to cure his sickness!) and abrupt pitch shifts that hit like percussion. Brian Eno himself said the band "changed the way I think about music and Korea." 🎵 ****"SUGUNGGA"**** (Luaka Bop) drops today on vinyl, CD, Bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, Amazon Music, and more. * * * **Two Questions for Alex Karpovsky.** Though best recognized as Ray from HBO's "_Girls_ ," Karpovsky has been writing and directing idiosyncratic features since 2005's _The Hole Story_. World premiering tonight at the New/Next Film Festival, his new dark comedy **_Riptides_** stars Steve Little as an oddball boogie-boarder with big dreams and bigger delusions. We caught up in Baltimore today: **What itch does filmmaking scratch for you that acting doesn't?** Control, mostly. Even if you get to improvise, you're there to serve someone else's vision. When you direct, you get to sculpt an idea and world in which you have the final say. It's a way to nurture your own specific creative expression. If I only acted, I would feel sort of impotent. Especially as an actor working periodically, sometimes the phone doesn't ring. When you're making a movie, you're taking action and putting your fate in your own hands. New/Next**is my favorite new discovery fest this decade. Thoughts?** I don't know any festival in America at the moment that has as much hype and word-of-mouth reputation. Everyone is incredibly excited about it. At least, my circle of friends are like, "What did you see at New/Next? What got in? How does it compare?" Eric Hatch is a great programmer who I knew from the Maryland Film Fest. He just creates a buzzy festival where the parties are fun, and the filmmakers who show up are incredibly cool. I've made so many friendships from the Maryland days, that was another desire to play here. ****What's new & next? ****Two ways to support The Secret Screening: ***** Need a gut-check for your film project?**** If you'd like a second set of eyes on your strategy, I have a few spots open for one-on-one consultations. On this day in 1504, Michelangelo unveiled his statue of David in the public square in front of the Piazza della Signoria, the seat of civic government in Florence, Italy.

Looking back, right in the very first email, with a little bit of research, I would have avoided this whole thing much sooner. But it bypassed my suspicion on first glance quite well, which I am now embarrassed to admit.

After scheduling a call with calendly, this link was the giveaway … a spoof of a streamyard.com link, which is a legitimate conferencing platform, but on closer inspection, the actual domain name extension is .live

"Projects such as your cosmic opera film and your chamber pieces for arts institutions show a practice that treats composition as part of a wider artistic and conceptual whole …" The baited language was so specific to my professional music career that they got me to schedule a call with them.

I’ve been turning my private #TiddlyWiki into an excellent browser for my photo/video archive going back more than a decade, touching more than 50,000 files. It uses symlinks inside the NodeJS filesystem to point back towards the source of truth on a Synology home server.

This has been a stellar little development project for me, as I abandoned iPhoto many years ago due to its clunkiness and opted to simply archive photo/video content from smartphones onto the filesystem itself, but with no easy way of viewing the contents.

Synology offers a native photo app, and I had also been looking into Immich, but the fact that I can unify my photo library and integrate it into my wiki is by far the coolest and most favorable approach!

I am developing a new /shop section of my website and getting acquainted with the #ProcessWire #FormBuilder which allows for Stripe Payment action and supports 3D transactions.

ProcessWire Page hooks are really great. Here, in a shop-item template Page, I want to create two separate body fields within a repeater matrix: one has an empty table, the other has a snippet of copy and a link to the Shop Policy page. #ProcessWire #php #CMS #opensource

I’ve added a small events calendar to my #ProcessWire website. It appears right before the footer in /home and has its own page /events. it is an expandable accordion which displays information like venue/time/program/tickets

also, a big thanks to Fina Zhou for proofreading the Chinese language version of my site. A great strength of #ProcessWire is that it has native multilingual features.
