So who knows a lawyer who can get a class action suit going for stealing our social security money if this happens? I want 30 years of my money back.

just so we’re all clear: the reason they keep using dolls as their example is because they’re trying to frame caring about material stuff as feminine and thus inherently shameful
Bessent says that little girls who are sad about having fewer dolls should just have it explained to them that they will have a better life for it

"We have an FBI director who received $25,000 for appearing in a film, executive producing a film, made by a Ukrainian-American-Russian who worked on a propaganda project that was financed, in part, by Vladimir Putin's office." "Why this isn't a bigger story, I don't know."

Yup. This is what’s it’s always been about.
The best case scenario is that this is a stock shorting scheme, and in a week, there will be masterful (non-existent) "dealmaking" that removes the tariffs after the billionaires buy the dip causing a massive transfer of wealth. That's the *best* case scenario.

The argument a shutdown would've benefitted Trump is belied by how Republicans voted in lockstep to avert one. If Trump, Musk, Johnson, or Thune wanted a shutdown, they would've had it. They did everything they could to avoid it. And 10 of your Dem colleagues helped them. For nothing. Complicit.
I voted against the horrible MAGA “continuing resolution” — a fake and partisan CR loaded up with executive power for Trump. I hated it. But respected colleagues voted otherwise, and not just to “cave in” versus “stand up.” 🧵

Living in the Weimar Republic in 1933 must have been surreal—one day you’re buying eggs at a reasonable price, and the next, democracy is unraveling in real time while rich white guys bankroll the collapse. Anywhooo- what do we think about arm bands these days? I’m not sold on them yet.
We need to start recognizing Republican Nazism as an existential threat to our nation.
