NEW: Tempe just became the first city in Arizona to ban automatic license plate readers like Flock and Axon. Every city in Arizona and across the country should follow suit.

A US lawmaker has announced plans to introduce a new bill that would give gamers ownership of the games they buy 🎮 The Power To The Players Act would require publishers to make games playable offline before shutting down their servers

Sometimes I get a little jealous when I see a couple people on Snapchat freely spend $$$ on nice meals, nice hotels, and a lot of traveling & wonder how they can afford that But then I think to a woman in my law class who had unboxing designer purse TikToks but was secretly in credit card debt

And by secretly I mean this was overheard by me and another person bc she was meeting with a staff member in the staff member’s office with the door partially open about bar application stuff bc she was worried the CC debt would be a problem. Not a very genuine or deep person, to mention

Like how are you being a wannabe law influencer with $2k handbags and names I have to look up while you’re going to economy (but good education) law school And then you don’t pass the bar (F the bar) or practice in any way A mess.

Very annoying how Snapchat doesn’t give any sort of warning you’re done viewing your friends’ stories bc I don’t want to suddenly click on a random influencer’s story about breast pumping milk amounts who I don’t know nor do I give a shit about

Sometime I’m reminded that me and some of my coworkers have very different lives bc at least a couple of them still like Harry Potter and are genuinely completely unaware about JK Rowling’s awfulness My coworkers are 40-60 Very different internets we live in

It is cute how Stephen Vogt has a partner, and bench coach who looks just like him, who stands next to him every game. That’s beautiful, I think

From Minneapolis to y'all: Three quick bursts if you see ICE. Long loud blasts if they're actively detaining someone. Form a crowd, stick together, and film everything.

People in California who are facing a terrible ICE surge: remember that if you need whistles, we are still sending them out for free. In fact, we just passed 1.7 million whistles sent out. linktr.ee/3Dwhistles

I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

Alternate headline: Teenagers are returning to the closet in record numbers.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Young teenagers are less likely to identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual than a few years ago, according to a new analysis. “It really does look like a free fall,” Jean Twenge, a professor of psychology, said. “But what’s causing it is unclear.”
