β€œThis is longest that Gaza has been without any supplies since the war began.” UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini says no humanitarian aid has entered Gaza for more than three weeks now, as Israeli forces continue to seal shut vital border crossings. πŸ”΄ LIVE updates: aje.io/9h1s92

The Genocide ("war") never stopped. The face of it changed, but it never stopped.

The word β€œcatastrophic” falls short of describing the state of Gaza's health sector amid Israel’s β€œwar of annihilation” against Palestinians, says Munir al-Bursh, the director-general of the enclave's Health Ministry. πŸ”΄ LIVE updates: aje.io/ar22p0

To all the American doom posters who kept saying "You're going to have a problem with conservatives too!" in their moment of manifesting schadenfreude.... Actually.... We should have just enough time to smarten up the swing vote and convince them not to elect our own idiot to office.

And if you are an American suffering from constant existential misery because of your political situation, worth noting. Don't pander to your base. They're going to vote for you regardless. Campaign to the swing. If your base won't stay loyal when you hedge to center, they aren't your base.

Also might help to resist the urge to sling mud and get petty with the smooth brains on the internet. The problem with rolling in the mud with a pig is the pig likes it. It doesn't hurt their reputation, but it sure as hell hurts yours. Maybe they were outsmarting you a bit more than you thought?

Man, this airplane business is getting a little out of control. Once is an anomaly, twice is a coincidence, three times is a trend. And, for those of us who solve problems for a living, you see the trend at two and start looking for causes. Scary stuff.

Remember that prediction that climate disasters would cause $1.2 trillion USD in annual damage by 2030? We could be 1/5 of the way there by mid-January. Yet, another climate prediction proved overly optimistic. (This is happening a lot lately.) interestingengineering.com/culture/cali...

Football should have a rule where the defense has a designated guy who doesn't wear a cup and if the quarterback rifles a ball into his nuts it's a 4 point play.

⚠️ BREAKING: Norway πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄ Prepares for Potential Bird Flu Pandemic, Secures 11 Million Vaccines. The Norwegian Institute of Public Health is stepping up its preparedness against bird flu, and has secured an option for 11 million vaccines in the event of a pandemic.

This might be a good time to remind people that climate change related disasters are projected to do up to 1 TRILLION USD in damage to infrastructure a year world-wide by as soon as 2030. You know, for those of you who keep saying this isn't as important as <insert whatever else here.>

We have a lot of experience with wildfires up here. Our country is over 80% forest, and climate change impacts are happening over twice as quickly in Canada. That said, careful with the annexing talk. Canadians are kind until they aren't. #GenevaConvention www.thestar.com/news/canada/...
