The American owned Sun is promoting a vigilante as the face for Canada's most multicultural and open city. This is same American owned paper that said crack-smoking Rob Ford should be elected mayor. Toronto - you're better than this. Let's get out the vote for Olivia Chow.

Upsetting to hear about the pending closure of the OGC. I am quickly reminded of the $1-billion gap for Recreation and Cultural Services identified in the 2025 Asset Management Plan. Which Ottawa recreational facility will be next? This is what austerity looks like. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Libraries, community centers, parks; these are all public places paid for by our tax dollars and many are at risk of closing, are under maintained, lack contemporary accessibility, or durability upgrades so that they continue to serve the public. 2.5% tax increases and lack of vision don’t cut it.

It’s so important to make time for our families without worrying about the cost of every activity. It was great to stop by Mini Space Kids Club in Kanata North and speak with families about keeping life affordable.

Our city council voted to accept twenty percent less, not zero, twenty percent less. So, they’re ok with some deaths. Until they’re impacted, it doesn’t matter to them. It inconveniences drivers, and that’s a no-no. #autowa

32 lives lost on Ottawa’s roads in 2026. The highest fatality numbers in a decade. “We want our city leadership to commit to zero deaths, it’s the only defensible number and anything else is planning for it.” VZO’s Chris Hircock on CBC All In A Day. www.cbc.ca/listen/live-...

Mark Sutcliffe says, I’ll download something to the province or upload it, I haven’t figured it out, but trust me, I’ve got a balanced plan that doesn’t impact people driving

It might take a #BattleOfBillingsBridge approach. Pedestrians take over intersections. Major ones. Fuck the driver. In a hurry, too fucking bad. #autowa

I’m going to get right to work - you’ve been at work for 4 years

I’m ready to get right to work and keep moving Ottawa forward. In my first 30 days, I’ll take immediate action on affordability, transit and safety. Here's how.

Mark’s grasping here. @jleiper.bsky.social is not some rando, he’s been on city council and understands the complications. If anything is certain, it’s how Mark did little towards the claims he made last election cycle? Never mind this election cycle. Just me using “cycle” likely makes him mad.

mark-sutcliffe.bsky.social@mark-sutcliffe.bsky.social

Ottawa can’t afford to take a step backwards or gamble with its future. This isn’t the time for risky promises or uncertainty. I’ve presented a clear plan to keep taxes low and build on the progress we’ve made.

Just went out for an errand 4 km away on my bike. Had a driver swing over to cut me off before an intersection, then continue straight; a driver stop in the bike lane in front of me and then reverse toward me; a driver going through the intersection with a phone at eye level in his right hand;

Police don’t have a clue what to do here, they have botched other deaths involving heavy vehicles. Also, Danielle Naçu, a driver’s car's door opened into her and she was thrown under a passing car. The driver got a $110 Highway Traffic Act dooring ticket and nothing more www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Here’s a few minutes of me just hanging around ONE intersection in #autowa. Pedestrians were hit near here this morning. I said, I’ll hang around until a driver doesn’t break a rule. But I had to eventually leave. @ottawapolice.bsky.social has suggested we all just DO OUR PART. Because they won’t.

After the pedestrian carnage at Bank/Riverside area I hung around thinking, “I’ll leave when nobody does some sort of traffic infraction” - I have too much video to process. It’s simply unbelievable. Not to drivers, they don’t GAF. But anyone else, it’s mystifying. I’ll try to make a video. #autowa

Last night we welcomed Noah Derksen back into our home to share his songs and stories. We share a Winnipeg heritage (note a tiny Red River Cart in the cabinet behind him). Lots of laughs and tears from his lyrics and amazing covers. His latest album, “Mercy on the Skyline,” is great! Thanks Noah.

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

You know, there were fucking drivers behind the wheel of these vehicles @ctvnewsottawa.bsky.social ?? #autowa “On Thursday, a 78-year-old woman died from her injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Sandy Hill. On Wednesday, a 60-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and killed in Barrhaven.”

And @mark-sutcliffe.bsky.social doesn’t think it’s very important as a campaign statement. Hasn’t talked to the families of the dead individuals that I know of. #autowa in general, couldn’t give a flying f word so long as their commute isn’t impacted. He runs his runs, mostly on NCC paths. All 👍
