Look, the problem isn't that he's wrong. Of course he's wrong. The problem is that this is now so normal in the USA that nobody seriously even points it out any more, this is where the Overton window is in the West now. You can just say this shit.

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

James is right. But that does look like a particularly dull quadrat right there.

In case you're curious, they're correct, the Greens policy of denying Jewish people self determination (rejecting the two-state solution as they have) is racist. But this is, on its own... Its just not very good from the Board of Deputies of British Jews. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

...and I want them to be consistent in condemning attacks on those of other faiths too. They've failed to do so, quite spectacularly. They're giving overt racists and staggeringly nasty hate against other groups a free pass in a way I don't want anyone to do...

So their individual critisim of the Greens? Fair. Its a terrible policy and it does them much discredit. But I need to hear more out of any religious group than "they've got it in for us so they're racist" - I want consitency both in terms of who they oppose...

Putting the Greens on their same naughty step as the BNP, National Front and Britain First on this basis, i.e. a "we don't engage with you" place, that is, I guess, harsh but fair. But lets look at who they DO talk to...

As Nick Robinson interviews Farage on #r4today for the umpteenth time, may I remind you that BBC News has instituted a policy of trying to make itself more attractive to Reform voters. True story (see further down this thread for deets).

I Am Incorrigible@imincorrigible.bsky.social

Nick Robinson just asked John Curtice if the BBC giving a platform to Farage & Reform was responsible for their popularity; presumably hoping to hear the polling guru say a resounding "no". Instead, Curtice said, "it's not just that, it's also how he uses it" So the answer's clearly yes. #r4today

Entering Labour majority territory, and a place thats desperately bad for the Tories, Reform and the Greens - with the LibDems maybe picking up a decent number of seats in the chaos. If things stay like this, I wonder if we're getting a general election sooner rather than later? December? February?

YouGov@yougov.co.uk

Our latest Westminster voting intention poll (25-26 October 2026) shows a five point lead for Labour Labour: 27% (no change from 18-19 Oct) Conservative: 22% (-1) Reform UK: 20% (-2) Lib Dem: 11% (=) Green: 10% (=) Restore Britain: 4% (+1) SNP: 2% (=) Plaid Cymru: 1% (=) yougov.com/en-gb/articl...

Like, if Labour hit 30% and can win a majority with that, its truly grotesque. But why wouldn't they call an election on that basis? When are things going to get better than that for Burnham?

It's not just about climate chaos. It's also about landscape chaos. The damage we do to the land's hydrology is layered on top of the damage we do to the atmosphere. Our mismanagement of land commits us to a cycle of flood and drought. We can change this, as explained here. Please read. Thanks.

UK Chancellor pledges cheaper marmalade and gherkins in pre-Budget package of 'everyday fixes'. Fiddling at the edges. Need redistribution of income and wealth. End profiteering in housing, energy, water, essentials. Increase tax personal allowance.

Yes, it's racist.

There are two policy areas I won't compromise on. (1) Progressive egalitarianism - this absolutely includes rejoining the EU, and (2) Environmental protection, specifically going bg well beyond net zero. Burnham is failing -completely- on both. www.itv.com/news/2026-10...
