I feel like last year I kept thinking "These Blazers would be great if they could hit some threes." Well, early results this year are looking good. This feels like a complete team.

Saw a lot I liked tonight for the Rays. Lot of hard hit balls that just happened to find gloves. With just a hint more luck, the outcome could have been better. Good process, bad results. (Except the caught stealing by Mesa... Come on, man) Looking forward to tomorrow

Just to make sure we're all on the same page, the "trading markets" can spend all this money on advertising because they're not spending it on paying out customers. The house always wins. (Unless it's owned by Trump)

I should also add, my favorite team is going to the World Series and I saw promotions for two interesting articles about them that I will read. I still read this all the way through first.

My dad is a lifelong Republican, but he recognized early on how toxic Trump is. More importantly, he doesn't try to constantly bring politics into everything. We have a great relationship and sees his grandkids all the time. It's great! It's probably not a coincidence that he doesn't watch Fox News!

This is a quietly metastasizing moral panic

As someone who has only ever voted in Oregon, I'm absolutely baffled why everyone isn't voting by mail. I received my ballot yesterday, filled it out last night, and took it to a drop-off. No stress. No lines. I could take all the time I wanted to research candidates and make informed decisions.

Just saw someone say their AI runs their fantasy football team and I can’t stop laughing. Like, I’m sure everyone’s doing it or something but it’s very funny to me that pretending to be a team manager was so hard that you needed to pretend to pretend to be a team manager

“how do we win back trump voters in 2026” we don’t. we create an environment where admitting to voting for trump is so socially embarrassing as to render them completely inert. you don’t “win back” trump voters. you demoralize them into staying home. you make it a dunce cap

This is the outcome all the wishy washy Talarico stuff is looking for. This isn't a getable voter but it is a goawayable voter.

This is what winning looks like

In Massachusetts, we have a responsibility to protect the vulnerable and stand up for those who need it. We don’t throw trans kids under the bus for political points. We protect them—and all of our neighbors—because trans rights are human rights.

Initially I was frustrated with the rise of self-checkout but I appreciated how stores passed the savings on to me rather than pocket the money, fire armies of workers & make me do a job I suck at. It’s also why I’m optimistic about AI! I have been kicked in the head by several horses.

Well, I'm officially old. I follow one of these people and knew about two others. Guess I need to catch up.

it’s that time of year again, Rolling Stone released their list of the top 25 content creators, which is actually a test of how old and out of touch you are… the lower your score, the more out of touch i’ve heard of 11 out of 25
