are AI coding tools capable of delivering useful work: verifiably yes is there actual real demand for AI coding tools: verifiably yes is that demand sufficient to support the economics: a lot of people would sure like to know!! is AI ontologically evil: to be determined by the RoboWars
These days I'm seeing countless articles from programmers that are like "Yes, AI makes me 100 times more productive, yes they are very capable and makes me more efficient, but also me and my coworkers are miserable now, my job became boring and unfulfilling and yet it's impossible to go back."
I think it’s important for anyone who (completely understandably) checked out on AI the second the crypto/nft/metaverse/snake oil chuds started pushing it to realize that, in at least the domain of software development, we are very much living in a scenario where the snake oil actually works
The process of learning is simple: "Try something> figure out what you did wrong> Find a way to not do it wrong next time > try again". Reference makes the "Figure out what you did wrong" part so much easier.
Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.
