The current state of CDRomance absolutely sucks. It's filled with MTL and vibecoded ports now but the really irritating part is that despite having an option to label it as AI many uploaders are ignoring it and you can't browse through the site even if you use the filters. It just sucks.

"Self-indulgence and excessive length were among the largest criticisms of Bardo, and those same tendencies persist here." yeah I'll have to disagree with this sentiment, nothing about Bardo was self indulgence. I don't know if we've watched the same film.

For my money, there is no better publisher than Square Enix in the world right now. AAA games, AA games, smaller budget games, remakes... They just do everything and most of them serves fans really well too. I wish people could see how GOATed they're aside from your typical FF7s and KHs and whatnot.

Bluesky users when they see a football player prioritizing enjoying a film instead of being a pretentious douchebag about it

Getting a job in games media seemed almost unattainable when I broke in back in 2005. In the years since, it’s become almost impossible and ultimately inadvisable. I can’t imagine trying to break in today. Independent is pretty much the only option now. Support your favorite creators directly.

Microsoft aren't the only ones at this. Nintendo, Sony too. They want to squeeze just enough out of you before you get angry enough to stop buying altogether. Fuck 'em. Go retro. Emulate if you have to.✊
