A recent position of mine is that we need a constitutional amendment that you can't be elected president if you're in any way related to a previous one. Globally (e.g., Brazil), that would improve things across the board.

A friend who's a bit more conservative than I am asked how I felt after the 2024 election, and I said that Americans just voted for a Christofascist oligarchy. I could hear him rolling his eyes over the phone, but nothing since has caused me to reconsider that assessment.
